Happy May Day to everyone! 1st of May or Vappu, as the Finns call it, is a special holiday in Finland. It celebrates the spring and also Finnish labor. People eat well and go out to party. Sugar-coated doughnuts and mead are the traditional treats to have during Vappu. The streets of Helsinki are filled with balloons for kids, and people who are wearing their graduation hats. Unfortunately, we don't celebrate much Vappu here in South Florida, but we sure have other interesting events coming up.

FACC is organizing a business breakfast at the Beach Club Restaurant on May 17th.
The Mayor of Lake Worth, Pam Triolo, Vice Mayor Andy Amoroso and City Manager, Michael Bornstein will all join us. The Lake Worth City Officials will share interesting facts about Lake Worth's future. This is an event you don't wanna miss!
Happy May Day! Enjoy the Spring!

Yours truly,
Esa Jokela
FACC President
