An academic bilingual community fostering global citizenship
Dear Park Spanish Immersion School Community Members:

I find it surreal that this is the last edition of  La Prensa  for the school year! Thank you for entrusting us with your children and for your support to educate each child. They are our future, and I am so happy that each of you is a member of our community.

Our first graders sang beautifully at the concert after the amazing Authors' Tea on Friday! It was great fun to have our first-fifth grade students participate in the  Cartoneras  event on Tuesday. Each child is an author! Our fifth graders represented us well at the SLP Fifth Grade Track Meet yesterday. This morning, we have our last school assembly in this building!

As we are moving buildings, we have a few other transitions. Please join me in congratulating Srta. Deborah Lamb, for her retirement at the end of this school year, after 42 years as a music teacher, 33 years in SLP, 20 of those years she taught at PSI! We thank her for her dedication to the profession, our children and families! On Monday, we will honor our fifth graders (and their families) during the Celebration of Learning Event, as they transition into middle school years. We thank them for their contributions to our school community.

As the year draws to a close, I am grateful for each of you and for our collaborative efforts, on behalf of our 516 amazing children. Enjoy the summer....and keep reading!

Sincerely, Corey
