Dear Pottsboro Chamber Members,
Welcome to 2025! A quarter of a century has passed, and it’s remarkable how time continues to surprise us. As we step into this new year, I’m honored to welcome you to another exciting chapter for the Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce (PACC). It’s my privilege to share the vision and focus for our Chamber as set by the Board for 2025.
At our annual planning meeting, we identified 4 Core Pillars to guide our efforts this year: Community, Culture, Creativity, and Championing Business. These pillars will shape every activity we undertake, from events we host to the initiatives we champion and the actions we take. Building on the strong foundation set by Casie Lovelace’s leadership in 2024—including new events like Chamber Business Builders and Community Chats—we are committed to sustaining these successes while expanding our impact.
What’s on the Horizon for 2025?
We evaluated all our events to ensure alignment with our foundational pillars. Those that didn’t align were set aside, allowing us to focus our energy where it matters most. Here’s what you can expect this year:
• Chamber Business Builders (Championing Business) – A bi-monthly lunch where members share strategies to grow and achieve their business goals.
• Community Chats (Community) – A quarterly breakfast with updates from local leaders, including our Mayor, about key developments impacting Pottsboro.
• Pottsboro Pride (Culture & Community) – A fun competition encouraging businesses to enhance the town’s curb appeal through storefront decoration.
• Ribbon Cuttings (Championing Business)
• Member Orientation (Culture)
• Annual Awards Banquet (Culture, Community, & Creativity)
• Community-Wide Garage Sale (Community)
• Frontier Day (Creativity, Community, & Culture)
• Annual Tree Lighting (Creativity, Community, & Culture)
• Chamber Directory (Championing Business & Community)
• Mix & Mingles (Championing Business, Community, Culture, & Creativity)
These programs represent our ongoing commitment to supporting our members and celebrating the unique qualities that make Pottsboro special.
Building for the Next 25 Years
As a 501(c)(6) non-profit, the PACC is uniquely positioned as a Business League—dedicated to promoting the shared interests of our business community. Unlike 501(c)(3) organizations focused on charitable endeavors, our mission is to improve the conditions and opportunities for businesses in Pottsboro.
The IRS defines a 501(c)(6) as “…an association of persons having some common business interest, the purpose of which is to promote such common interest … an organization’s activities must be devoted to improving business conditions of one or more lines of business.” With this responsibility in mind, our efforts this year will be laser-focused on advancing the interests of Pottsboro’s business community.
What Does This Look Like?
In 2025, you’ll see us:
• Attending City Meetings to advocate for the business community’s needs.
• Partnering with City Officials on economic development initiatives.
• Driving Projects that ensure a strong business foundation for decades to come.
We’re not just a Chamber of Events; we’re a Chamber of Commerce—dedicated to championing business in the Pottsboro area.
Get Involved
If this mission resonates with you, we encourage you to actively engage with us. Watch for newsletters, join our monthly gatherings, attend City Council meetings, and share your ideas and needs with the Chamber. Together, we can ensure the Pottsboro business community thrives for years to come.
Here’s to a successful and impactful 2025!
Sincerely,
Nathan Knottingham
