Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce Newsletter May 2026

Dear Pottsboro Chamber Members,

As we step into May, I’m reminded of what makes our community so special- engagement, connection, and the pride we all share in calling Pottsboro Home.

A quick, but important reminder: Final voting and Election Day is May 2. Your voice matters, and I encourage everyone to take the time to get out and vote. It’s one of the simplest and most powerful ways we can support the future of our community. Lets get those voters numbers up!!

We’re also excited to roll out something new at the Chamber…Our Chamber Member Spotlight. This is a great opportunity to showcase your business and share your story! If you’re interested in being features, reach out to Missy or myself and we’ll get you scheduled. We truly love celebrating our Chamber members and helping shine a light on all the amazing things happening right here in Pottsboro.

On The leadership front, we’re excited to welcome Gigi Toler as our new Vice President. Gigi has been with Tanglewood Resort for over 10 years and has been a dedicated supporter of our Chamber and community for many years. She has served on our Chamber Board for over 4 years and is always willing to step in and help wherever needed. We know she will bring great energy and leadership to the Chamber! We would also like to extend a huge thank you to Nathan Knottingham for everything he has done for our Chamber and community. Nathan has been an incredible asset to our organization, serving not only as Vice President but also as last year’s Chamber President. While he has other obligations that require more of his time, we are so thankful for his leadership, dedication, and continued support of the Chamber.

As always, thank you for being part of our Chamber family. Your support, involvement, and dedication are what continue to make Pottsboro such a special place to call home.

Warm regards,

Traci Cherry

We hope you'll join us from 8:15am - 9:15am on June 9th!

There is a NEW NETWORKING OPPORTUNITY for our business members scheduled for May 12th at 11:30am. This event is called the Chamber Business Builders and is a working lunch meeting. America 250 Bench Dedication – Pottsboro

Join us as we celebrate a very special addition to our community!

The Preston Trail Chapter NSDAR has generously donated an America 250 commemorative bench to the City of Pottsboro, which will be placed at James G. Thompson Park. We are incredibly thankful for this wonderful gift that will be enjoyed by our community for years to come.

The bench is being designed and created by the Sherman High School FFA Ag Mechanics Team, who will be learning valuable life skills as they use a CNC machine to create and cut the design for the bench.

The Daughters of the American Revolution focus on three mission areas: Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism, and their chapter continues a long legacy of supporting veterans, educators, and preserving historic places important to our communities.

If you would like to learn more about the organization, please visit:

We are honored that the Preston Trail Chapter chose Pottsboro for this special project.
