Chamber Luncheon
Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020
at the Comfort Inn & Suites
Join us on Tuesday, March 3rd, to learn about the 2020 Census and how it is more than just a population count! The census provides critical data that lawmakers, business owners, teachers, and many others use to provide daily services, products, and support for you and your community. Every year, billions of dollars in federal funding go to hospitals, fire departments, schools, roads, and other resources based on census data.
Our presenter is Becky Schigiel, Senior Partnership Specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau. Becky is working with the DeForest, Windsor, and Dane County governments to educate and encourage participation in the 2020 Census. Come and learn how to get involved!

The Dragon Arts Group is gearing up for the  16th Annual Dragon Art Fair  to be held on Saturday, June 6th!
The Dragon Art Fair will be back at Fireman’s Park and they are excited about what it offers artists and guests! They continue to work with area community groups to provide a variety of activities for our attendees.  The DeForest Cub Scouts ice cream social, the Girl Scouts lemonade stand and the Fire Department Safety Day are all returning this year.  This community supports family oriented, cultural events and these activities shows the 3,000+ attendees what DeForest/Windsor can offer!
The biggest fundraiser, a silent auction with 50+ items donated by our generous artists as well as community supporters, funds the scholarships awarded to DeForest High School students seeking arts related college degrees.  Each year up to three scholarships valued between $300-$500 are granted!
There are many ways to become a Dragon Art Fair sponsor - sending a check, giving your time, offering in-kind services, providing giveaways or silent auction items).
The shopping bag giveaway program has been a great success – sometimes we think people come early just to get the new Dragon Art Fair tote bag!  Last year 400 were ordered and they were gone by 11:00 a.m.!  This promotional shopping bag has the Dragon Art Fair logo on the front and sponsors on the back and keeps your name or logo in front of your customers every time they use it.
The Dragon Arts Group appreciates your support of this event and hope you will consider making a contribution.
If you would you like to learn more about the art fair, the organization or volunteer opportunities, please contact Julie at (608) 846-8891, check out their Facebook fan page, or log on to Dragon Arts Group link
