  • We are privileged to welcome Darcy Jones, President of Jones Engineering. Darcy will speak to us about Caitac's current building projects on Kline Road and their vision of developing a community north to Smith Road. Darcy will also briefly cover how a developer plans and executes a new community of homes, condos or apartments. What public input is involved, what permits and what wetland regulations must be followed. Join your Cordata Neighborhood Association neighbors to hear about future plans for our neighborhood.

BELLINGHAM LIBRARIAN TO COME TO CORDATA FOR LIBRARY TALKS

Rebecca Judd, Libraary Director will be at the El Dorado Way Clubhouse on WEDNESDAY February 6, 2019 at 4:30 PM. Rebecca is coming to talk to north enders who are interested in more library service. Please join us to let her know what we want for ourselves and the children in our area.
(Directions to the El Dorado Clubhouse: El Dorado Way is two driveways north of Horton on Cordata Parkway. Turn in and drive down to building 4751. Park and come in. For more information, contact Julie Guy (360) 738-8466 or Ralph Myers (360) 306-8494.

There will be a Cordata Community Event, "Feed My Starving Children," on Friday night (6-8pm) March 1 and Saturday morning March 2, 2019 (9-11am). Whatcom County Mobile Food Pack to return to Birchwood Presbyterian Church on those days. Volunteers needed and will work a 2-hour shift and donate any amount of money they choose. Requirements for the event will be 700 volunteers and 130,000 meals packed at a total cost of $30,000.00 (22 cents a meal.) Volunteers will come from service organizations, businesses, schools, churches and organizations in Whatcom County and beyond. Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) was founded in 1987 and has served 70 countries by working with 88 world-wide organizations to distribute the food packs. Over the past 12 years they have received a 4-star rating with Charity Navigator. Everyone Welcome! Bring your family and friends. You may go online beginning February 1, 2019 at www.bpchurch.org/FMSC and register for a shift to join us at this exciting event.
