Family Medicine Residency Faculty Physician

Phelps Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking a Family Medicine Faculty Member to join the team in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Candidates should have a genuine desire to teach developing physicians, care for the underserved and be an advocate for family medicine.

The faculty member will report to the program director and will see patients in a state-of the art clinic location that opened its doors in February 2019. Sleepy Hollow and its surrounding communities are located just north of New York City and offer excellent schools, easy access to a multitude of outdoor activities, and superb transportation connections to New York City.

Phelps Family Medicine Residency Program is an exceptional partnership between Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, Northwell Health, Phelps Hospital and Open Door Family Medical Centers. Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, the program is an innovative, forward-thinking 3-year residency in family medicine. In 2011, the program became the first accredited family medicine residency program in New York State to be established since 1995 with a mission to help address the great shortage of primary care and, particularly, family physicians. Since its founding, the Phelps Program has led in the creation and delivery of an innovative and evidence-based residency curriculum. For additional information, please visit www.phelpsresidency.org.
