Dear District K Friends:
I hope this message finds you well and recovering from what has been a challenging time for so many of us. Recently, our city faced a severe power outage that affected over 2 million customers, with many of you enduring days without power. I know how frustrating and difficult this was for everyone, and I want to acknowledge the hardship it caused in our community.
In the aftermath, I've been in close contact with CenterPoint Energy, working to understand what went wrong and, more importantly, what steps will be taken to ensure this doesn't happen again. CenterPoint's President has presented an action plan to the Houston City Council, and I want to share it with you as well. Your feedback is also welcome.
You can view the plan here: CenterPoint Energy Action Plan
