RI PARITY RELEASES WHITE PAPER
Mental Health America's Annual Conference has gone virtual and is free and open to everyone.

The last few months have changed everything. From increases in depression and anxiety rates, to adjusting workplaces, to addressing inequities due to systemic barriers - MHA is talking about it. Guest speakers will include Kenneth Cole, Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, Michelle Williams, Solomon Thomas and many more.
Please help us to welcome our newest members of our Board of Directors:
Maureen Apperson
Peter Chung
Lynne DeBeer
David Dove, PhD
Judith Fox

Their addition to the Board will help to better position MHARI as a critical leader in mental health advocacy, education and policy development in the state.

Just a reminder, if you are a licensed behavioral health provider, MHARI needs your help to complete a survey to identify and support policy proposals to improve the system of coverage for behavioral health services. The survey may be completed once per individual and all personal information will remain confidential.

A CONVERSATION NOT TO BE MISSED

Were you unable to participate in our Town Hall on Racism, Equity & Mental Illness? If so, you can watch the recording of this lively and informative conversation. Hear from RI Community Leaders, Dr. Ernestine Jennings, Sandra Victorino and Larry Warner as they discuss systemic racism, its affects on physical and mental wellbeing and barriers to mental health treatment.
MHARI FIGHTS FOR TELEMEDICINE LEGISLATION FOR ALL RHODE ISLANDERS

As telemedicine legislation makes its way through the General Assembly, MHARI continues to rally support across the state. In conjunction with 90 consumers, providers and stakeholders, MHARI submitted written and verbal testimony in support of this important bill.

It's not too late for YOU to add your voice. Contact your RI State Representative to support telemedicine!
Your support of Mental Health Association of Rhode Island will help to ensure we continue fighting for important legislation for all Rhode Islanders' access to behavioral heath, convene timely community conversations and further develop free educational materials and studies focused on Parity initiatives.

What will you do for mental health?
