Unleash your imagination for a dog park in District 5! Join us for the Country Acres Dog Park Open House at 6 pm Monday, October 2, immediately prior to our District 5 Advisory Board meeting at Fire Station #21, 2110 North 135th Street West.
The open house is your opportunity to talk one-on-one with me and Timothy Kellams, Principal Planner/Landscape Architect from Public Works & Utilities, about the planned dog park at 754 North Country Acres Avenue, just northwest of Central & Ridge. During the open house, residents will be asked for feedback on the site plan. Admission to the event is free, and no RSVPs are necessary.
Do you have questions or feedback about the Country Acres Dog Park? Email me at bfrye@wichita.gov and put Dog Park in the subject line.

A beautiful day for Open Streets ICT
Last weekend's Open Streets ICT event couldn't have been better. The weather was perfect, and thousands of people flocked to Douglas Avenue to bike, walk, and enjoy the open space. Thank you to the City's Park & Recreation Department for taking the lead on organizing this popular event, now in its 6th year.
A special shout-out to Elaine Stephen (in blue shirt), our District 5 representative to the Animal Control Advisory Board. She was at Open Streets ICT volunteering at the booth for Wichita Hearts for Healers (wichitaheartsforhealers.org). Thank you, Elaine, for volunteering!
