Father and maker of all,
you adorn all creation
with splendor and beauty,
and fashion human lives
in your image and likeness.
Awaken in every heart
reverence for the work of your hands,
and renew among your people
a readiness to nurture and sustain
your precious gift of life.
Grant this through our Lord
Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in
the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever.
Amen.

Gospel Reading: (Matthew 22:1-10)
Jesus said: “The Kingdom of heaven may be likened to a king who gave a wedding feast for his son. He dispatched his servants to summon the invited guests to the feast, but they refused to come. …The king then said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come. Go out, therefore, into the main roads and invite to the feast whomever you find’. The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, and the hall was filled with guests. But when the king came in to meet the guests, he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. The king said, ‘My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment? But he was reduced to silence. Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside, where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.’ Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
Vincentian Reflection:
It is incredible that the invited guests could refuse to come to such a significant and lavish banquet! But we are invited to a feast even more lavish and we, too, can fail to see its significance and fail to prepare ourselves. Our everyday living is not inconsequential-even the little things we do are helping us put on our own wedding garment. Our continual conversions from sin prepare us for the feast of heaven.
(Living Liturgy, p. 252)
How have you come to realize that God has “called and chosen you” to serve the poor?

Bishop Vasquez reflected on the life of St. Vincent de Paul and the work of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. He said the Society provides more than material or tangible services to those in need. “The Society is concerned with the wellbeing of each individual; their mind, body, soul, and spirit.” Bishop Vasquez also commended the Vincentians for continuing their work during this pandemic. “You have found creative ways to conduct visitations.” He added, “The work of the Society cannot stop. The work of the Society must continue even in the mist of this challenging time. It will continue.”
The Bishop concluded by expressing his appreciation to the Society saying “you are the face of Christ that brings Christ to others.”
Vincentians from across Central Texas participated in the Mass in person and by livestream.

National Gazette Questions and Answers
Q: During this Coronavirus pandemic we are not doing any Home Visits with our friends in need. How do we keep track of our phone interviews? Where should we enter the hours we spend and the number of people we help over the phone? Sometimes it is a referral, counseling or sometimes we are paying a bill.
A: Phone interviews in place of Home Visits are now conducted across the country due to the Coronavirus and should be reported in the same manner as you would a Home Visit, except that phone interviews should be entered under Other In-Person Visits on the Conference annual report.
