4 - 6 pm Saturday, April 18

2301 Alpine Road

To register for The Librarians, use the link above or please contact the church office at 903-758-4952. The Social Justice and Public Witness Committee and St. Andrew Presbyterian are co-sponsoring the free public screening of the groundbreaking documentary. The documentary is the story of Texas librarians defending intellectual freedom and privacy by standing up to government surveillance, censorship, and pressure to restrict access to information. Join the conversation on the dangers of censorship and book banning. The film will be shown at the Unitarian Fellowship, 2301 Alpine Road, on Saturday, April 18, at 4 pm, with a time for discussion to follow by Reverend Laura Walters from Grace Presbytery. The Fellowship seating setup is theater-style, which provides more comfort for the 90-minute film.

Sunday Morning Studies and Snacks

We have two wonderful studies going on Sunday mornings beginning at 9:00 a.m. The Spiritual Growth class is using the book Life of the Beloved by Henri J. M. Nouwen. The study just began and is on Chapter One. You can order the book from your favorite source and join in. The other class is the Women's Bible Study and they have just ordered The Call by Adam Hamilton. Another wonderful study that uses a DVD guide will help guide the lessons. Please reach out to Charlotte Ezelle if you want to know more.

Coffee and snacks are provided by members during the study hour. Please contact Judy Haley (903-445-3798 jhaley726@gmail.com) or Lee Ellen Blanton (903-235-3348, gypsy1956@sbcglobal.net) if you would like to help.
