The nursery is back open! We are thankful for God’s healing power on our childcare coordinator, Kim Rickman. She would love to see little ones and your friendly faces welcoming her back. If you have a moment, go by the nursery to say hello! | |
Join the Advent Sunday School Group by notifying the church office. The group will meet on the first four Sundays of December. The Sunday school group will use the study guide, Almost Christmas, which explores how we can break down the barriers that prevent us from experiencing love, hope, joy, and peace in Christ in our lives and the world around us.

The CUMC and St. Andrew Sunday School Classes are very popular, and everyone is welcome to attend. The Friendship Sunday School Class is studying
Amos 5:21-24 on Sunday from the book Favorite Bible Passages. Lew will lead the lesson. The Class on Spirituality is still using Richard Rohr’s book Things Hidden.

St. Andrew's Annual Chili Cook-Off
and Hanging of the Greens
This Sunday, after the church service, St. Andrew will celebrate the start of the Advent season with an annual chill cook-off and hanging of the greens. Community United Methodist Church is invited to take part in the festivities also. Please bring your favorite chili and/or cheese, sour cream, Fritos, cornbread, salad, side, or dessert. Voting will take place for the best chili, and then we will decorate for Christmas. Some may wish to stay and help decorate the Fellowship Hall, while others will be needed to hang the Christmas lights in the outdoor chapel. We will enjoy Christmas music while we decorate!
