Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton, Ohio is seeking a full-time chaplain.
This United Church Homes Life Plan Community provides a spectrum of services for older adults. The chaplain provides the spiritual care programs to meet the needs of the residents, staff and their families. Leadership of the weekly worship service in the lovely chapel, additional worship experiences for those living with dementia, along with pastoral care, programming and small groups, spiritual assessments and participation on the leadership team are all a part of this ministry.
Four Winds Community in Jackson, Ohio is seeking a part-time chaplain: 32 hours/week with benefits.
This community provides care for those needing rehab services, long-term nursing care and memory care. The chaplain works together with the leadership team and provides pastoral services with the residents, staff and their families. Spiritual assessments, pastoral care, small group programming and worship experiences are a part of the needs of this community.
Requirements for UCH chaplains include an MDiv, ordination and standing with a denomination, pastoral experience in a local congregation and CPE, with 4 units preferred. Support for chaplain positions comes through the UCH organization with monthly connections with the chaplains serving the other UCH communities and connection with our Dean of Chaplains. Compassion for work with older adults along with creativity and an expansive understanding of the aging process are welcome.
Additionally, Uplands Community in Pleasant Hill, Tennessee, a community managed by United Church Homes, is also seeking a ¾ time chaplain position. This beautiful, historic community in central Tennessee provides the full spectrum of services for older adults. Pleasant Hill United Church of Christ which is adjacent to the Uplands campus serves members of the Upland Community and members from the wider community. They are also concurrently searching for a pastor. These two positions would provide a unique opportunity for a clergy couple.
