Mandatory Volunteer Training For SAFE Interviewers
March 3rd. 9-10:30 am
located at: SAFE Food Ministry 5950 HWY 87 S

We are very excited about how far our little food pantry has come, and we are looking forward to continuing that growth in this new year. As SAFE evolves our procedures and strategies will as well.

We are having mandatory interviewer training on March 3 rd , 2018, from 9-10:30 am. A light breakfast will be served. All SAFE volunteers who interview should make an effort to be there to review procedures and go over new protocol. 
Do you or someone you know need Health Insurance?
SAFE is partnering with The Open Door Clinic by helping to process applications for those in the rural areas of Alamance County. If you are interested, please call 336.525.2120 and leave a message. Please speak clearly, slowly and repeat your phone number twice. Someone will return your call within 24 hrs to schedule an appt. at SAFE to complete the application and begin the process. Please share so we can get the word out to all the members of the community.
Alamance Community College
SAFE is honored to be partnering with Alamance Community College (ACC). Starting Nov. 7, 2017, there will an ACC rep. at SAFE every Tuesday and the last Saturday of the month, 9:00 am- closing (this always varies but usually no earlier than 10:30am). If you are interested in your GED, ESL, and other academic issues, please stop by and talk with them. ACC can also assist you if your are unemployed, underemployed,and underpaid! If you find yourself in one of these categories, please stop by and speak to our representative.
Upcoming Health Fair and Screening
In 2018 SAFE will be hosting Health Fairs 4 times per year in the lowest income areas of Alamance County. The first Health Fair is scheduled for April 7, 2018. We will have more details as the event approaches. Visit our Facebook page and our website for more details.
Updated Winter Weather Policy
Tuesdays: SAFE will follow the Alamance-Burlington School System for closing. SAFE will open at 9 am if the schools are delayed.

Saturdays: Closing will be decided by 9 pm Friday night. A message will be left on the answering machine, and our Facebook page will be updated by 9 pm. Please check before you come in if there is any questionable weather.

Bethel United Methodist Church
You are invited to join a unique Lenten small group study based om the 2010 film, The Way. No materials necessary. No prep-work between sessions. We're going to allow this film alongside scripture, to spark conversations around the life paths we all travel. Everyone is welcome to come watch the film the first night whether you decide to join the study group or not.

Kyle & Jamie Coble are a young couple with a 31/2 yr old daughter, Kaitlyn. In May 2018 they are expecting a son, Greyson who has CDH, Their expenses are large with relocation to St. Petersburg, FL to be near John Hopkins All Children's Hospital while awaiting delivery of Greyson. Housing, food, travel and out of pocket medical expenses will start to hit them soon.
