Greetings!
NHC started out 2022 running! The past two years have kept us on our toes with all the challenges and changes due to Covid-19, as well as keeping our normal programming functioning. We were hoping for more to be back to normal this year, but during the first two weeks of January we completed more covid tests and had more people actually sick with covid than we did in all of October, November, and December combined. Thankfully we have been able to help support patients through recovery with tele-visits and now infection rates have improved. Our pharmacy continues to provide covid vaccines to the general public and has the oral antiviral medications; we have a supply of home tests and N95 masks we can give to patients as well. We need to ensure our immune-compromised patients and volunteers have a safe environment so the Clinic continues with high standards for infection control cleaning and mask wearing.
In other news, although we are not back to pre-pandemic rates, we are thankful that many of our volunteers have now returned to help and we’ve had some wonderful new recruits. In addition to operating our medical, dental & pharmacy programs, we’ve also been busy with new health education initiatives, staff trainings, and new resources for our patients. We’re all looking forward to getting together for a fun fundraiser event being held in April in St James, too. Learn more about all this and more below.

Remembering
Jane Goldsworth, RN, MSN
On February 3rd New Hope Clinic suffered a terrible loss when Jane Goldsworth passed away. Jane served our organization with great commitment as a board member and registered nurse volunteer. She certainly was a strong advocate for our patients, for setting high standards for the organization, and for being a caregiver and mentor for many of us. Thank you to the many who attended her funeral service and sent generous gifts which will allow us to continue the Clinic's work that meant so much to her. We will be honored to have a medical exam room named in her memory. To learn more about Jane, click here for a link to her obituary.

What our patients say about us:
"It’s home, like a bunch of grandmas."
"Non-judgmental, friendly, free."
"Even though I don’t have insurance because I am a student and not working, they treat me with respect and dignity."
