Greetings!
Doctors Care Annual Report is Ready!
Doctors Care’s 2018 Annual Report has been completed and is available for review at
DoctorsCare.org/AnnualReport
. The year consisted of celebration –
30 years
of service to the community, and innovative strides to ensuring access to healthcare for all by increasing the age limit for clinic patients to 50 years. The result, more older individuals with years of difficulty connecting to healthcare, found a medical home. All told, over 4,000 babies, children and adults received sick and well care, dental hygiene services, behavioral health counseling, help enrolling in insurance coverage and connections to social services. The ability to provide services like these to people in need would not be possible without the generous support of foundations, businesses and individual donors.
Donations to Doctors Care help deserving families like Angela’s*, escaping a stormy past of domestic violence:
Angela was overwhelmed, working long days while her teenage daughters watch their younger brother, who suffers from severe anxiety, ODD and ADHD. In their first visit to Doctors Care, all three children received physicals, including up to date vaccinations. The family received behavioral health counseling and was connected to additional services, including therapy and psychiatry. Providers bridged behavioral health medications for the boy, and dental cleanings were set up for all three children. A health navigator provided resources for food insecurity. By the end of the visit
,
Angela was overwhelmed again – but now in a positive, grateful way.
*Not her real name
Last year, Doctors Care celebrated 30 years of service to community members like Angela’s with medical care and support for social/life challenges.
Please donate now so people like her, and thousands of others find that same safe refuge for 30 more years!

The events begin at 8:00 am with a light breakfast, followed by a short presentation about Doctors Care, and end with a tour/discussion of the facility including the clinic and health access team services. Introducing, Doctors Care!
One of the goals outlined in Doctors Care’s current Strategic Plan is to produce a video about the organization that not only addresses the programs and services we offer, but that also conveys the mission and values of Doctors Care. We’re excited to announce that volunteer/staff onboarding video is now complete, thanks to funding by the State Innovation Model (SIM) federal grant, in conjunction with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation
(CMMI)
and the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health. This video was funded in an effort to support integrated medical practices in Colorado.
