Cliché or not, 2019 whizzed by in a flash. The year had many highlights; unexpected grant opportunities appeared, new volunteers and staff joined to enrich our pool of talent, and Doctors Care’s Board of Directors expanded, bringing new expertise to help guide the future. The biggest highlight, however, was the generosity we experienced from all who contributed to Doctors Care, supporting our efforts to help people in need. Many choices exist when it comes to donating, and we are grateful to each and every person, business, community partner and foundation that supported Doctors Care in 2019. Thank you!
We enter 2020 with many unknowns when it comes to the evolution of health care, particularly for those already challenged by access to care. To help us prepare, Doctors Care is developing a new Strategic Plan that will help guide the organization’s efforts for the next two years. A big part of the plan focuses on keeping a pulse on the changing needs of those we serve, and being ready to adapt as needed. It is what Doctors Care has done well for over 30 years, and with the ongoing support of our community, will continue do as we enter this new decade.

Welcome New Board Members!
Recently, Doctors Care’s Board of Directors added six board members with backgrounds in new areas of expertise and representation. Now, in addition to board members that provide support in access to care, the new members bring talent in various areas, such as wealth management, local government affairs related to health care policy and legislation, and unique connections to help expand our fundraising efforts.

Supporting
Care and Services to Our
Patients and Clients
Year End Giving
Doctors Care is pleased to announce that our Year End giving, including Colorado Gives Day, saw an increase of 22% in contributions compared to 2018. We are grateful to see more people supporting our mission of providing affordable healthcare!
Thank you to the Swedish Medical Center Auxiliary!
|
After many years of service to the community, the Swedish Medical Center Auxiliary nonprofit organization made the difficult decision to close
, marking the end of an incredible era. Doctors Care, along with many other organizations,
enjoyed
several years of support from the Auxiliary. While we are so sorry to see
the end of this incredible organization, Doctors Care is grateful for
all the support received over the years. We particularly appreciate the final, generous gift
they provided to our organization, which helps support continuation of services for those in need.

Tax time creates a new season of giving to support our work
|
|
If you are due a state income tax refund, this new state program will give you the opportunity to use some or all of it to directly support a local nonprofit that matters to you, like Doctors Care.
The new program, promoted through the ReFUND CO awareness initiative, lets you choose where your donation goes. Simply enter Doctors Care and our registration number (20023003726) in the Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund line! This can be done on your state tax return, tax software, or you can provide your tax preparer with this information.
Because our important work is never done, we are always in need of new funds to revitalize our organization and recharge our work. ReFUND CO shows you how you can support our mission at a critical time of the year.
