Sharing love and faith by gathering in our communities to address Health, Hunger and Habitation.
We are looking forward to celebrating the Eighth Annual Crow River Serve Day on Saturday, May 16, 2020!

We welcome new Steering Committee Members and invite you to join us! We begin with monthly meetings in late January, meet more frequently beginning in March and build to weekly meetings in April and May. Meetings are made as accessible as possible with ‘drop-in’ flexible times to fit your schedules.

The three areas we serve are Health, Hunger and Habitation
Opportunities to join the Steering Committee are:
  • Health Coordinator: In need of a volunteer to explore new ideas for health related programs.
  • Habitation Coordinator: In need of help to recruit volunteers and supervise the freshening of the mural painted on the side of ABC Printing on Bridge Street in Rockford.
  • Hunger Coordinator: If you share a love of gardening, there is a need to oversee planting and maintenance of adoptable garden plots at Our Father’s Lutheran Church in Rockford. This volunteer would also help plan and implement packing meals for Kids Against Hunger.

We also offer year round volunteer opportunities through Thousand Hearts 365 . For more information, please contact Annette Tryon

Stay up to date by following Thousand Hearts Crow River Serve Day on Facebook!

We are a program of RiverWorks Community Development.
