Teacher Highlight
Meredith Percy graduated from Louisiana State University with dual degrees: a B.S. in Secondary Education and a B.A. in Spanish.

Currently, she is finishing her Master's in Education at LSU where she is in the Applied Research, Measurement, and Evaluation program. Her research is focused on adolescent anxiety and strategies that teachers can employ to improve the social and emotional wellness of students. She will graduate in May 2020.
Percy teaches Spanish I and II and has been teaching at St. Michael since 2008. “Teaching Spanish is a joy, and I try to bring my love of the language and Hispanic culture to my students,” she stated.

She said that what she loves most about being a Warrior is being a part of such a faith-filled community. “I see Christ in all that we do at St. Michael. It is an amazing gift to be able to attend Mass and pray with our students so often. I was privileged to be able to attend the March for Life for four years in a row with our incredible Theology department, who works so hard to make this trip possible for our students. I have witnessed life-changing moments happen for our students on that trip. It is inspiring and helps me to be a better teacher.”

Percy and her husband Adam, have been married for almost two years and she has three stepsons: William, Ian, and James. The family also have two adopted pit bulls, Ramsey and Jinxie.
