CLIMATE & ENVIRONMENT
Remember to compost food scraps this holiday season!
This holiday season, remember to compost all your food scraps! Place everything—raw, cooked, or rotten—in the green cart to prevent methane emissions and help the environment. You may need to remind guests about proper food waste disposal.
Zero Waste Marin is launching a pilot program with Mill to provide up to 125 free food recyclers, helping keep organics out of landfills. Eligible participants include low-income residents and nonprofits; recipients will be asked to complete surveys to evaluate the program's effectiveness.
Mill’s food recycler uses a dry-and-grind system to transform food scraps into nutrient-rich grounds, which can be added to your green compost cart.

They'll be hosting a webinar next week on November 6 from 12pm - 1pm to explore how you can successfully electrify your homes using a 100 Amp electrical panel, leveraging energy-efficient appliances and strategic planning.
