A Message from Mary Anne

Happy Holidays, Clients and Friends,

Here we are in December 2024, getting ready to start a whole new year  This year has gone by so quickly,  it felt like a blur! Anyone else feel that way at times?

To avoid the ‘Oh my gosh. where did the time go?” scary feeling, I decided to write down the many blessings (and a few of the struggles)  I faced. And I found many more blessings than struggles.  As a matter of fact,  it was emotionally overwhelming to me just how blessed I have been.

Most of you know my story of my sister Marcia, my stepsons, my caregiving for my parents, and the journey I have been on to use my lessons learned to help others.

I was worried the past few years how I would keep this going over many years to come, so my almost 40 years of helping families would continue and have a life of its own. Many of you asked me how I was going to make sure we served your families for years to come.

And into my life walks someone named Bruce Donaldson, the CEO/Partner of Simplicity Group.  He was someone who understood what our families faced and he understood my dream to make Protected Tomorrows something that would continue to help thousands and thousands of families going into the future.  He listened to my dreams of what it could be, and HE and his team BELIEVED in us and our mission.   Not everyone believed in us over these years, but our families who we serve have believed. THANK YOU FOR THAT!    My family and friends who waited for me while I put hours into the night and early mornings trying to make this work believed.  THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND BELIEF THAT I WAS GOING TO DO WHAT NO ONE ELSE THOUGHT WE COULD DO 39 years ago.

And now I am a Partner of Simplicity Group, and proud to have Protected Tomorrows become a SIMPLICITY Company.   I have discovered all of my new Partners and their teams are as excited as we are to take Protected Tomorrows around the country, to develop wonderful new resources for families, and the develop the ability to reach many more families in need of education and assistance.  The capabilities and solutions the rest of my Simplicity Partners bring to the table are the best of the best.  Add to that the services of Simplicity Wealth which gives us investment advisory solutions available to our clients that we never had before.

How did this solution (along with Mr. Bruce Donaldson) just walk into our lives here in Lincolnshire?  I believe my sister Marcia is still out there cheering us on.  She knows her life made me a better person, gave me a purpose and cheered me on from the very beginning. I can still hear her cheer! I can feel her smiling at the team we have built in Linolnshire, to help support our families.    I appreciate them and the work they do, sometimes more on their desks than any one person can do.  I don’t say thank you to them ever enough. You are amazing!  THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR DEDICATION AND BELIEF IN OUR FUTURE.

So, for those who wonder what is next:   WE HAVE ONLY JUST BEGUN.  I am excited for our future, the safety and peace of mind we will continue to bring to families, and along the way, the wonderful people we will continue to meet.   Yes, as I look back, wondering where the year as gone, I am sure that I am blessed.

Humbly, with respect for all who have helped us, Happy Holidays to you all.
