A Message from Mary Anne

Fall is in the air

Is it REALLY September already? I had to pinch myself to face it! Where did this year go? I'm hearing everybody say phrases like that in the last few weeks.

Children are back in school; summer vacations are over. Yet the weather still feels like summer. Fall is a great time to look back at the year, see what we have accomplished so far, and to make a list of what we want to get started before the end of the year.

I hope our Parent University class this month, "Retiring for Three", will help you start looking at the future with a new slant on the positive. It is a great time to think about what you want retirement to look like, not only for yourselves, but for your family member with a disability.

How to incorporate your child’s plan into your own. What is the most effective way to fund the trust? Life insurance? IRAs? Other? How to plan your own Social Security to benefit your child’s future – Learn a technique to identify your options.

For Zoom security, when you register, you’ll receive an email with a link to the class and a passcode, which you’ll be asked to enter when you log on. (To avoid disruption, we'll close the class at 12:05. If you’re late, you'll be able to watch the video later.)
