Message from the Executive Director

I trust this newsletter finds you well. I am Tara Robbins, your newly hired Executive Director of the ACEC/NC. Please know I feel a deep sense of honor to lead this organization which enjoys an enviable reputation and legacy across the state. It is with enthusiasm that I reach out to you as we embark on a new chapter of strategic growth and innovation.

I want to highlight three key areas that will demand our attention and collaborative spirit. Firstly, enhancing and aligning our committee and volunteer engagement opportunities to deliver impactful value to our members. As industry leaders, we understand the importance of delivering high-quality solutions within stipulated timelines, and I am eager to apply industry-standard strategies to ACEC’s internal member mechanisms.

Secondly, we will be raising the volume on our advocacy efforts. The engineering landscape is dynamic and evolving, our response must demonstrate the industry expertise and ACEC integrity that legislators know and trust. I envision a robust advocacy program that keeps our firms at the forefront of technological advancements, supports public sector infrastructure pipelines, and forms lasting partnerships across the state.

Lastly, strengthening and expanding our membership will bring new ideas, opportunities and drive our leadership excellence.  Your firm has been an integral part of our success, and we are committed to furthering these partnerships. Establishing value-driven member benefits and strategically communicating these with you, is our focus.

I am eager to read your thoughts and insights and to meet you at one of our upcoming events. I hope by keeping organizational transparency, multi-channel communication, and dynamic collaboration front and center we will ensure our mutual success!
