Builder Spotlight: North Central WV HBA

Shayne and Chloe Hinkle are the owners of Hinkle Homes LLC, a locally owned, full-service general contracting company that has proudly served North Central West Virginia for the past six years. Hinkle Homes specializes in new construction homes and garages, Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundations, roof replacements, deck installations, and concrete flatwork. One of the company’s core strengths is building high-quality, budget-friendly homes without sacrificing structural integrity, craftsmanship, or long-term value. Many of their clients initially consider modular homes due to cost, but Hinkle Homes offers a strong alternative by constructing stick-built homes at a comparable price point—while providing greater design flexibility, customization options, durability, and often stronger long-term appraisal value. In addition, the company is highly skilled in ICF foundation installation, offering homeowners a superior foundation solution known for energy efficiency, strength, and exceptional longevity.

The foundation of Hinkle Homes LLC is rooted in hard work, perseverance, and firsthand experience. Like many hardworking families, Shayne and Chloe began by hustling—taking on construction projects during nights and weekends while both maintained full-time jobs. As demand grew and workloads increased well beyond a standard forty-hour workweek, it became clear the business had the potential to stand on its own. With encouragement and a shared belief in their vision, Shayne took the leap to leave his full-time job so they could officially build something of their own. That decision led to the creation and growth of Hinkle Homes LLC, a business they are deeply proud of. Every service they offer is shaped by lived experience, and they bring the same care, integrity, and determination to each project as if it were their own home.

A strong belief in continuous learning guides how Hinkle Homes operates. Shayne and Chloe emphasize the importance of learning from others, seeking mentorship, and gaining hands-on knowledge whenever possible—advice they readily share with anyone starting out in the industry. Their commitment to collaboration is reflected in the many relationships they maintain with fellow Home Builders Association members, including Insurance Centers, ABC Supply Company, OC Cluss Lumber Company, Middletown Homes Sales, Affordable Landscaping Supplies, Rigidly Rafter, Koval Building & Supply, Royal Glass LLC, Bad Lizard Granite & Quartz, Danny’s Door Service, First Federal of Greene County, and Hoys Concrete.

Joining the North Central West Virginia Home Builders Association was a natural step in their growth. They were invited to join by another husband-and-wife business team, Jamie and Doug Burch of Creek Siding & Roofing, Inc., whose active involvement and shared values resonated with them. Through the association, Shayne and Chloe have gained valuable networking opportunities, industry education, and a strong sense of community. Membership allows them to stay current on building codes and policy, connect with other professionals who take pride in their work, and build relationships that directly benefit their clients. The fellowship and conversations at NCWVHBA gatherings continue to motivate them as business owners, reinforcing their commitment to high standards, professionalism, and the community they proudly serve.

New and exciting changes are coming soon. We are working on a new platform, making things more user-friendly, and adding some changes. IF you would be interested in being a judge, please reach out to Jamie Burch (info@hbawv.org). You can not enter projects into awards if you are judging.
