Welcome to the New Year! 2023 has brought us to our time to Regroup, Refresh,
and Recruit. The Friends of South Walton Sea Turtles (FOSWST) Board of
Directors are devoted to getting you back as dedicated Volunteer Beach
Ambassadors (VBAs) for another successful year. We ended 2022 on a
positive note… team member count was good and volunteer hours were up. We
want to refresh what our founder of the VBAs, Laurie Reichenbach built over the
past seven years (7) for FOSWST. We have new T-Shirts that will separate who we
are from Walton County's employees, and we are expanding our use of new
technologies. Lastly, Laurie Reichenbach has come out of retirement
to help with the recruitment and training of the new Manager overseeing the
Volunteer Beach Ambassadors.
Each of you did a FABULOUS job throughout South Walton County and especially on the beaches and the FOSWST organization is very proud of you all. It’s time to
continue to repeat our successes and grow our team during this upcoming season.
Our first task will be to recruit a member to manage the VBA team and move us forward in 2023. We feel strongly that there are members amongst you who would be excellent candidates to take our team to the next level. We invite you to seriously consider the position of Manager of the Volunteer Beach Ambassador Team.
If you are interested in becoming the new Team Manager, please click on the link VBA Manager to add your name for consideration.
Besides needing a new Manager of the VBAs, we have a number of other volunteer positions in the areas of Communications, Technology, Fundraising, Marketing,
and Community Outreach that need leaders. Another announcement will be
forthcoming soon.
Thank you for all that you do as a Volunteer Beach Ambassador and for your heartfelt consideration of this new opportunity.
