Cheerleading Spotlight
WHMS Cheerleading Captains
Treasure Johnson and Nevaya Evans are the cheerleading captains for the 2019-2020 school year. The team has started practicing with the high school cheerleaders and doing gymnastics in order to get in shape for the season. There are 16 outstanding cheerleaders who have made the team.

The cheerleaders have cheered against Maple and Bedford City Schools and enjoyed getting the crowd excited about the games. The cheerleaders feel that they have a lot of power when cheering against the top rivalry schools. It is all fun and games.

Treasure enjoys being team captain because she feels like she brings a lot of excitement to the team. She loves teaching the girls different moves in order to better their skills at a higher level. She is a great leader because she is able to make up cheers on the spot and help her team when others can not think of a new cheer to help the team.

Nevaya enjoys being a team captain because when the girls need help with something they do come to her for help with cheers. She enjoys helping people in school and outside of school on moves and cheers. As team captain, when she sees girls not learning the cheer, she pulls them to the side to help them individually to learn the cheer.

Thank you Treasure and Nevaya for being the WHMS cheerleading captains this year!! #TigerPride
