On January 29, MCA Operations Manager Amanda Pugh went to Annapolis in support of Senate Bill 287, for the Maryland Arts and Cultural Grant Program, sponsored by State Senator Sarah Elfreth.

Let your local and state representatives know that the arts are an important cultural, educational, and financial component of Maryland's economy by attending the Maryland Citizens for the Arts 2020:

6th Annual Harford Plein Air Festival
Sponsored by the Maryland Center for the Arts, submit your art entry to be juried into the week-long competition, painting outdoor scenes of Harford County for top prizes and gallery sales in the Town of Bel Air.

Applying artists must be age 18 or older, must pay the $35 entry fee, and submit images following the Harford Plein Air entry instructions. 30 artists will be accepted into the competition.

Maryland PTA is looking for artists and arts enthusiasts who are committed to arts education to serve as volunteer judges for their 2019-20 Reflections student arts competition. Blind judging of Reflections entries is usually conducted between January 31 and February 20. For more information, click on the poster at left.
