Equity Begins with Me: Expanding Our Commitment to Infants, Children and Families

Have recent world events encouraged you to self-reflect on how you are embracing diversity in the workplace? Do you want to ensure your implicit biases do not interfere with the delivery of quality services to the infants, children, and families you serve?

This webinar opportunity on the Diversity-Informed Tenets for Work with Infants, Children, and Families will provide strategies and tools for strengthening the commitment and capacity of professionals, organizations, and systems that serve infants, children, and families to embed diversity, inclusion, and equity principles into your work.

The Human Spirit Prevails to
Create New Rituals

What acts of humanity have you experienced or observed during these COVID-19 months?

COVID-19 came upon us, unanticipated, without planning and unimagined by all who were not scientists and medical doctors. Children were unexpectedly required to be home schooled by parents who were either suddenly unemployed or working from home while hoping to keep their children learning. Early Intervention services quickly went to Zoom, Doxy or via phone.

WHAT DOES OSEP THINK OF THE WORK WE'RE DOING IN VIRGINIA?

In August, we had a call with the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), to receive feedback. See what they think!
