Pathway Luncheon for Sending Schools
On Monday, October 22nd New Castle Career Center hosted a Pathway Luncheon for administrators and counselors from all 8 of the Career Center sending schools. The Culinary students prepared delicious soup, sandwiches, and salad. Ben Carter from the state and Fleck Education presented valuable information regarding the graduation requirement changes. This was a great opportunity for collaboration and education of changes.
Open Houses
This year NCCC will be hosting 2 open houses. Tuesday, December 11th from 6-8 PM and Tuesday, January 29th from 6-8 PM future students and parents can meet administrators, teachers, and students. We hope that families will take advantage of the open houses and learn about the opportunities available at New Castle Career Center at 801 Parkview Drive New Castle.
The EMT & Health careers teachers and students will be at the Danielson Center 300 Trojan Lane.  
FCCLA District Meeting
Education Careers students attended the FCCLA District meeting at Foot Golf in Muncie. Students participated in team building and leadership activities.
Health Science HOSA Leadership Conference
Ten Health Science Education students attended the HOSA Fall Leadership Conference at Camp Allendale in Trafalgar, IN on October 17th. Students spent the day learning about teamwork, leadership, creative thinking, community service, communication, and professionalism. They participated in hands-on activities with other HOSA members from throughout the state. Students particularly enjoyed "The Ropes Course". 
Health Science & Public Safety Danielson Center Community Open House
The Open House for the Health Science & Public Safety Academy at the Danielson Center was a huge success. The community was invited to meet administrators, teachers, and students at the newest Career Center building. The EMT & Health Science students gave personalized tours of the facility.
Veterinary Science Vaccination Clinic
Wednesday, October 31st the Veterinary Science students hosted a vaccination clinic. Buck Creek Veterinary Clinic helped NCCC Vet. Science students serve 46 community pets. The students learned valuable skills about vaccinations, prevention, and overall pet care.
