February Workshops and Events!
Meditation Four Week Course!

Over the 4 weeks we will explore different techniques to help access the power of stillness that comes through a meditative practice. People who practice meditation regularly experience reduced depression, fear and anxiety; a greater ability to relax and enjoy life; reduced experiences of insomnia and levels of stress; improved interpersonal relations; reduced chronic and acute pain and increased inner peace and wellbeing.
No prior experience of meditation is necessary just a desire to find peace in a crazy busy world.
Learn the foundations of Meditation to help you build a regular and successful home practice, step by step guidance with opportunities to ask questions in the company of students on a similar level. 

Date: Four consecutive Thursdays, 2nd February – 23rd February 7.45-8:45pm 

Investment: $90 for the four weeks

Kids and Teens Yoga!

Term 1 Commences Thursday 2nd February! 

These classes will introduce your kids and teens to yoga in a simple, structured, and uniquely effective program to help them calm themselves and feel happy. They will learn the basic postures and concepts of yoga in a fun and supportive environment.

Mums and Bubs Six Week Course!

Commences Tuesday 7th February! 

This 6 week course will introduce you and your baby to yoga in a relaxed and supportive environment. You will learn practices which support you to feel vibrant and help you deal with the myriad pressures of motherhood. This program will help you connect with yourself, your baby and share the motherhood journey in a supportive group.

Suitable for Mums from six weeks post partum and babies from six weeks to crawlers

Commencing Tuesday 7th February for six consecutive weeks 11:15-12:15pm

Pricing: $120 for the six week course, which includes weekly handouts, online forum and resources.

Creating Your Best Year Workshop!

2016 was certainly a challenging year for most of us and numerologically speaking was a year of endings. 2017 is all about new beginnings and if you want to create your best year yet then this is the workshop for you! Combining yoga, meditation and vision board creation we'll create the foundation and intention for 2017.

Date: Saturday 11th February 1-4:00pm 

Investment: $65 which includes all materials so all you need to bring is yourself and a vision for your year ahead!

Class Changes!

Saturday morning classes!
Emma and Karen will be sharing the Saturday 8:30am vinyasa classes indefinitely so you will get a bit of variety in these classes.

Monday morning classes!
The Monday 10.30 am classes will finish next week 6th February, and the 9.00am Alignment class with Mary will now be back to 9.30am as of 13th February.

6am Yoga Classes!
We are hoping to add a 6am Express Class in these warmer months. It will be a 60 minute Vinyasa class. If this interests you please leave your name at reception or contact Karen.


Our first Monthly (drop in) Meditation Class for the year will be held on:
Tuesday 28th February 8-9pm
Investment: $10 (FREE if you've attended any previous meditation workshops this year).

Beginners Yoga Four Week Course!

Interested in Yoga but not sure where to start? Or perhaps you haven’t been on your mat for a while and want to get back to a regular practice? Whatever the reason…why not Join our 5 week Beginners Yoga Course and learn the foundations step by step in a supportive environment?
We will explore the basic tools of yoga - Asana (body movements, to stretch and strengthen your body) - Prānāyāma (breath regulation to help energise you and balance the nervous system), Relaxation (techniques to de-stress body and mind) and Meditation (focused reflection and peace of mind). As well as covering the background and history of yoga and an overview of the different types of yoga we offer here at Body Yoga.

Body Yoga Retreat - Only One Share Room Left!!

The Retreat venue is a beautiful renovated 3 level 1927 era guest house. This property is owned and operated by Veronica and her husband Steve who have bought this amazing building back to life, with cosy ‘breakaway’ seating areas around every corner for intimate groups to gather or large areas for bigger groups to meet, lovely open fire places, the bedrooms are fresh, clean and bright offering limited single rooms (when available with queen bed) or share with a queen or 2 singles) all with ensuites.  So why not leave the hustle and bustle of the city life behind for a few days and rejuvenate on our Body Yoga weekend retreat?

Labour Day Holiday!

We will be open on Labour Day weekend Saturday and Sunday as usual and on Monday for Mary's Iyengar Class at 9am and an evening class so no need for you to miss out on your yoga on the long weekend!

Yoga for a Cause is back!

Rachel is once again embarking on a 100km trek for Oxfam, a charity that is committed to helping those in need. As part of her fundraising she will be holding a 90 minute yin yoga class complete with a beautiful yoga nidra!
