Economic Gardening Opportunity

Through are involvement in a grant program with GLCAP and the Rural Community Assistance Program, qualifying Seneca County businesses are eligible to receive assistance with marker research, GIS, search engine optimization and social media.

Eligible businesses must be a stage two business that have grown beyond the start-up phase and are poised for growth, yet constrained by limited access to certain tools and information that would help spur innovation and development. Businesses must have 10-50 employees, <$1M in annual sales (or in the case of manufacturers, <$1M in profits) and be innovative or niche type businesses with growth potential.

Free Opioid Toolkit Available to All Ohio Businesses

A Dose of Reality for Employers - A Toolkit to help mitigate the risks associated with Ohio's opioid crisis is always available on our website. This free, 5-module course (13-16 minutes per module) can be viewed all at once, or as you have time. The modules include best practices that employers can use in their workplace from implementing a drug-free workplace program, to crafting solid workplace policies, to offering an employee assistance program and much more. Be sure to share this information with your employees and other companies in which you do business with as it is a great resource.

JB Tours has announce their participation and planning for the Seneca County Veterans' Washington DC Trip, which is scheduled for October 17-19, 2020. This trip will be no cost for our veterans.

ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital was awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology. Congratulations on this gold seal of accreditation, representing the highest level of image quality and patient safety!
Congratulations Fostoria City Schools!
Congratulations to Fostoria City Schools on the opening of the new Junior Senior High School. The beautiful new school is the result of a nearly $50 million project with 89 percent of the funding coming from the Ohio School Facilities Commission.

The school hosted a public open house on Sunday, January 12 which included a brief program and guided tours.
The Greater Fostoria Community Foundation will host "Country Mardi Gras" on Friday, February 28. Tickets and sponsorships are now available. Click here for more information.
