UPCOMING EVENTS

  • 18 April 2021 - CPC End of Year Celebration has been cancelled. We will be handing out the wooden box gift and a gift card to the CPC Seniors earlier that day.

  • 18 April 2021, 3 - 5 pm - Spring General Membership Meeting/Elections will be held in-person at the at the North Side Social - 9633 Prominent Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80924 - with all appropriate Covid precautions. Come and see what CPC has been able to accomplish this year and vote in the new Board for the 2021-2022 year. Please RSVP below.

  • 7-9 May 2021 - Spring Finals' Goodie Bag Assembly. Look for an email in the upcoming month to sign up to Volunteer. All CPC member cadets will receive a free Spring Final's Goodie Bag.

  • 26 May 2021 - Graduation

  • 12 June 2021 - New Appointee Event - hoping for an in-person event @ WhirlyBall.

  • 24 June 2021 - Class of 2025 In-Processing Day

Hello CPC families!

I am sitting here with yet more snow falling down, thinking it doesn't feel very much like spring. But, the calendar says it is! Spring looks a little different for our cadets this year, as well, but I am proud of how they have persevered and are still accomplishing amazing things. Congratulations to all of the newly recognized Class of 2024 cadets! We look forward to meeting our 2024 families at more of our in-person events. One such opportunity is the Spring General Membership meeting on Sunday, April 18 from 3-5 pm at the North Side Social in Colorado Springs. Please be sure to RSVP. We will also conduct the meeting virtually for those of you who can't make it in person. A meeting link will be sent out at a later date.

In lieu of our traditional Colorado Night celebration this year, we arranged for the Falcon Club to provide a BBQ meal available to all Colorado and Wyoming cadets. See the photos below. Thank you to Heidi Jacobs and the Falcon Club staff for cooking and serving all the delicious food. With the majority of the work being done by the Falcon Club, we just needed a few CPC volunteers to check in the cadets and hand out the gift bags. Thanks also to USAA and Navy Federal Credit Union for donating gift items, and to Enstrom Candies, Colorado Limited, Aksels.com, and Emily's Homestead for providing discounted merchandise with which to treat our cadets.
The Class of 2021 will be graduating in just a couple of months, resulting in several vacancies in the CPC Board. We will miss our 2021 families and thank them for the years of service they have provided to CPC! For those of us remaining, we NEED YOU to be involved and to think about the best ways you can share your time and talents. These are a few of the areas we will need help:

  • Fundraising Chair - this is an elected board position. In this capacity, you'll be responsible for overseeing the Goodie Bag Chair and any other club fundraising efforts. In addition, you'll be reaching out to our community partners to seek funds for some of our activities (Tailgates, Colorado Night, etc.) and track donations received throughout the year. Contact our current Fundraising Chair for more details.

  • Event Coordinator - this is an elected board position. The Event Coordinator oversees all CPC sponsored events. You'll serve as the link between the event committee chair and the CPC Board, ensuring for seamless continuity and communication. CPC events include the New Appointee Luncheon, I-day Picnic, A-day luncheon, Colorado Night, and End of Year Celebration.

  • Vice President(s) - this is an elected board position and can be shared. The Vice President(s) oversee CPC Public Relations, including the Webmaster, Tailgate Chair, and Photographer/ Videographer. You can reach out to our current Vice Presidents for more information.

  • 2021 Tailgate Chair - Our CPC tailgates have become legendary, and we are hopeful that we can get back to having them next year. Next year's Tailgate Chair will be provided with an instruction manual containing easy to follow steps for putting on the best tailgates ever! This includes instructions for pre-season, in-season, and post-season duties.

Enjoy this spring time in the Rockies! We look forward to seeing many of you at CPC events as Covid restrictions ease/are lifted.

Colorado Night Meals
Although we were unable to host our traditional Colorado Night celebration, we arranged for a special BBQ meal, made and delivered by the Falcon Club, available to all Colorado and Wyoming cadets. Cadets also received a gift bag.

The Air Force Men’s Cross Country team had a short but strong postponed 2020 season. This month, the team won the Mountain West Championships in Nevada. Colorado brothers, Scott (C1C) & Ryan (C3C) Johnson were scoring members of the team and earned All-Conference First Team honors. The Johnson brothers went on with their teammates to the National Championships in Oklahoma. AFXC finished 19th in the nation! 
USAFA rifle team made NCAA selections and has two CO cadets: C4C Morgan Kreb and C3C Jordan Williams. Click here to see the 2021 NC Rifle Selection Video.
