COOS News November 2020

Good Afternoon COOS Friends & Family!

I'm writing today with a few reminders. Thanksgiving is already the week after next!

Let's take the next two Wednesdays to bring canned goods for the LAX food pantry as our chapel offering. They especially like soups and other canned foods with the pull off tops.

We are also still accepting baby items for the Grace Elliott Center in Compton. They have a special need for newborn diapers.

A big thank you to all the parents for raising $11,000 in the Trike A Thon. On Thursday we had a special party for the class that raised the most money. We watched the movie cars and had popcorn.

We had a parade Wednesday for Veteran's Day. The children dressed up in red, white and blue and we walked around the parking lot to patriotic music. Thank you and God bless our veterans!!

We started a new fundraiser called "Walking with Our Savior." You can donate with this link and please come walk with us on December 12th at 10am. We will meet at El Segundo Beach and walk to the Manhattan beach pier (or as far as you can). It will be a lot of fun and it will help us out if you can donate or purchase a tshirt here. We love our ministry to the community having a preschool but it is costing us more having the preschool open right now because of reduced class sizes per Covid heath orders. We would really appreciate your help!!

Thanksgiving is already the week after next! Remember Thanksgiving week we are closed Monday, November 23rd for The Lutheran Pacific Southwest District "All Worker Conference." This will be a combination of the Lutheran Educators Conference LEC and the Pastors Conference. Even though its online this year, we will be watching together! Tues and Weds will be regular days. Lookout for classroom emails about Thanksgiving snack or lunch parties on those days. We are closed November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving!

Please let us know if anyone needs anything! We pray for all the preschool families, teachers and Church members on Tuesdays at 1:15pm. Please let us know if you have any specific requests!

Blessings in Christ,

Ms. Beverly
