Philly Reading Coaches pop-ups

LOVE Park, 1501 John F. Kennedy Blvd
Come to LOVE Park to meet the Philly Reading Coaches at their literacy-focused pop-up. Reading Coaches will be on-hand to answer questions about becoming a volunteer. This program combines early reading support, access to books, and community volunteers to boost reading skills for our city’s children.
LGBTQ Employee Spotlights
Mayor’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion
This Pride month the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is highlighting some of the members of the City’s LGBTQ Employee Resource Group. City Resource Groups are organized, supported groups of City employees who share a common diversity characteristic or consider themselves an ally of a diverse community. In these groups, employees get together to discuss how they can make the City a better place to work for that particular community.
PHLpreK Enrollment is Open

PHLpreK is adding over 1,000 new seats in the 2019–2020 school year at existing and new locations. If your child will be 3 or 4 years old on September 1, 2019 and lives in Philadelphia, they are eligible to enroll in PHLpreK for the 2019–2020 school year.

Returning to Learning is a college fair geared specifically towards City of Philadelphia employees. Join us on Monday, July 29 to learn about tuition discounts available to you and your family, in some instances. Earn your associate’s, bachelor’s, or master’s degree.
Volunteer with family and friends at Philly Free Streets
Office of Transportation, Infrastructure, & Sustainability
Saturday, August 3 | 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Philly Free Streets will be back on North Broad Street this August. Each year, volunteers help make this program possible, and 2019 will be no different! Sign up for a shift today with your friends and family. Children 14+ are welcome to participate. Free t-shirts and hats will be provided to all volunteers upon arrival to their shift.
