The Voter Education and Outreach (VEO) Program at Multnomah County Elections

The VEO Program works to ensure everyone in Multnomah County can vote. We focus on reaching underrepresented communities by attending community events, partnering with local organizations, and providing voter education. Our goal is to remove barriers and make voting accessible to all.

Multnomah County Seeks Jail Inspection Volunteers

Voters approved increased jail oversight in 2022. The county is now seeking volunteers to accompany the Board of County Commissioners on annual jail inspections. Applicants should live or work in Multnomah County and have a connection to communities impacted by incarceration. Selected volunteers will complete a three-year term, attend inspections, and contribute to a final report. Applications open late August, check link updates:

Homelessness Response Plan and System

Want to help shape Multnomah County's homelessness response? Join a committee! The Steering and Oversight Committee and Community Advisory Committee (deadline Aug 21) are seeking members. Learn more and apply at multco.us/homelessness-response-system/committees. Lived experience and voices from disproportionately impacted communities are strongly encouraged.
