Pathway Players Perform
On May 23rd and May 24th  the Pathway Players packed the house with four performances of the musical A Year with Frog and Toad. A story of amphibious friends that spans the four seasons, the cheerful Frog and apprehensive Toad plant gardens, rake leaves, enjoy swimming, sledding and celebrating their differences. Along their journey, the friends are joined by a cast of birds, mice, turtles and snails.

The cast of 18 thoroughly entertained the audiences with their singing, dancing and comedic routines. Business partners, parents, students and staff enjoyed watching the actors and applauding the acting skills acquired after months of rehearsals. Under the direction of Pete Pryor, there were first time actors, as well as seasoned Pathway Player participants.

Congratulations to The Pathway Players’ Director: Pete Pryor, Stage Manager and Choreographer: Samantha Reading, Music Director: Shari Donath and the students who worked to create the scenery and prop designs. We are SO proud!
FORE! the kids! What a Great Day!

On May 16th The Pathway School celebrated its 20th Annual  golf outing. Guests enjoyed beautiful weather, good food and great conversations.  Thank you to everyone who supported this year’s event! Your generosity will help advance the school’s STEM Education Program, enrich the new Kindergarten Program and keep student technology up to date.
Pathway Welcomes IGS Energy for their first corporate volunteer event!

Pathway parent and IGS Energy employee, Rick Loweree had shared with his colleagues the great success his son, Shawn has gained from attending Pathway for the past 11 years. Branch Coordinator, Fiona Rada was impressed with Rick’s story of Pathway and decided to arrange to see the school and present a donation through a corporate volunteer event.  With the company practice of “giving back”, on May 19th
14 employees from the King of Prussia based company volunteered their time to partner with Pathway in planting flowers and other various landscaping activities.

It was an unusually hot May day, but everyone persevered and the end results were beautiful flowers in beds throughout the campus! Before the group departed, they presented a check in the amount of $3,500 to The Pathway School. The gift of time and money this group of people offered will go a long way in helping us enhance our learning environments and bring in additional innovative programming.

Thank you IGS Energy for your time and generosity!

Ms. Ziegler and Ms. Hawk’s class welcomes Guest Chefs in April and May to their cooking class!

Pathway President, David Schultheis, was invited to be the Guest Chef for the month of April and without hesitation, he offered his culinary skills in teaching the variety of ways to prepare eggs. Out of the 3 recipes, scrambled eggs was voted the favorite by a landslide! Everyone had so much fun and hoped to use their newly acquired skills at home.  One student said at the end of class that David was an “Eggcellent” Chef!

Dave Berdis was the Guest Chief for the month of May. Dave works with Pathway’s Facility Team and welcomed the opportunity to share his recipe for Sheppard’s Pie, a favorite meal his family enjoyed while they lived abroad in England.  Together the class went to the local market to purchase ingredients Dave recommended. Every student had a part in the preparation and the finished dish was enjoyed by all! Dave also brought in his home-made Yorkshire pudding. What a surprise for the students, that it was not sweet! The class not only appreciated the cooking and eating, but also loved hearing stories Dave shared about his time in the military and experience living in other countries.
Celebration of Learning!

Pathway scholars had the opportunity to showcase amazing projects they have completed this school year. Throughout the morning staff, families and friends of the school came to see and hear scholars present their projects. Science projects, art work, history projects and English reports were showcased. Thank you to our scholars for all their hard work this year!
