MESSAGE FROM OUR SENIOR WARDEN
Praise God from whom all blessings flow!!! We had two wonderful Ingathering Services last Sunday, November 9, 2025. Thank you to all who participated and to all who presented their pledge cards. Your presence and your participation
demonstrated generosity and shared purpose. We are all committed to giving of our TIME, TALENT, AND TREASURES, and we are true believers of our theme, Faithful in Every Season. Trust me. If you have not had a chance to make your
pledge, it’s not too late. Every pledge, no matter the size, makes a difference. Pledge cards are still available in the church, and you may always pledge online or by mail. Thank you. We will inform you of the total amount pledged.
All Saints will send a donation to Episcopal Relief & Development for Hurricane Relief in the Caribbean at the end of the month. Please make checks payable to All Saints and earmark Hurricane Relief. Your gift will provide people with critical supplies—including food and water—and pastoral care, as well as support for other urgent needs in the wake of recent devastating storms.
I am excited about our upcoming Adult Formation, which will begin on
November 30, 2025, between services under the leadership of The Venerable
Jennifer McKenzie. We will be using an Advent devotional and a book, The
Meaning is in the Waiting-The Spirit of Advent by Paula Gooder. The author will
be joining us on the third Sunday in Advent via Zoom (She lives in London). I
hope that you are reading your book! (SMILES)
Continue to pray without ceasing as we navigate through this transition process.
Please know that I am always available if you need anything. Do not hesitate to
contact me anytime. I can be reached at (301) 467-1467. We have priests and
deacons who are also
The vestry is in the interview and discernment process of seeking an Interim Rector. Continue to “Pray without ceasing.”
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, acknowledging that you are the source of all
wisdom. In this time of discernment for our parish, we ask for clarity
to see your will, wisdom to make sound choices, and the help of your
Holy Spirit to guide our steps. Walk with us, good and loving God. Grant
us in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would
have us do, that the Spirit of Wisdom may save us from false choices, and
that in your light we may see light, and in your straight path we may not
stumble, through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN

Thanks to All Who Participated in the Red Cross Blood Drive!
Last Thursday, November 6, 2025, we hosted our 3rd Blood Drive along with the Red Cross! The day was a wonderful event with so many people from the community and members of All Saints giving to this very important cause that helps save lives! The drive was a smashing success again this year, with a goal of collecting what the Red Cross refers to as 26 Products of Blood, and we collected a total of 31 Products! Of course, we could not have done this event without all the volunteers from All Saints checking people in for their appointment and making everyone feel welcome! We are planning two more events in 2026, so be sure to watch the newsletter for the two dates once we have them secured.
| In honor of Veterans Day, members of our All Saints Church community came together for a heartfelt tribute, placing American flags at veterans' gravesites in the church cemetery. Surrounded by the vibrant colors of autumn, adults and children alike participated in this solemn act of remembrance, reflecting on the sacrifices made by those who served our nation. The event fostered a spirit of gratitude and unity, reminding us all of the enduring legacy of service and the importance of honoring those who gave so much for our freedom. | |
SOMD Pride Festival
Rain stayed away, and the sun eventually showed itself for the 8th Annual Southern Maryland Pride Festival this past Sunday in Lexington Park. All Saints partnered with four other parishes to support the event as Rainbow Sponsors. Our booth was a popular stop for families, couples, friend groups, and more than a few dogs. The Spin-to-Win game drew folks in for a peek at the prizes. But the best parts of the day were the conversations we had with attendees. Several expressed interest in learning more about where to find an Episcopal parish near them. We can all watch for visitors in the coming weeks.
We’re grateful to Rev. Charity Humm of Trinity Episcopal Church, Stephanie Middendorf (an intern at St. James who is discerning a call to ordained ministry), and St. James parishioner Italia Gorski, who helped make the outreach and the fun possible for the Southern Maryland Episcopal churches.
From our SOMD Pride Festival coordinators, Katlin, David, and Julie - A special thanks to all who attended and supported this regional event.
From our parish members, a hearty thank you to Kaitlin, David, and Julie for representing All Saints and helping to make the SOMD Pride Festival a special day for all who attended.
| Thanks to all who are making our Sunday School program possible, including teachers and their helpers, and our nursery care providers! | |
Outreach Breakfast
Hey there, amazing All Saints community! Don’t forget this Sunday is Outreach Breakfast at All Saints Parish! This is not just any breakfast; it’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, share some yummy food, and connect with fellow parishioners who are passionate about justice and peace! Whether you’re a long-time member or new to our parish, you’ll find a warm and welcoming environment that embodies our commitment to love and acceptance.
| |
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
This Thanksgiving, we will celebrate and share all that we are thankful for in our lives.
The Parish Family Life Commission will have a Thanksgiving Pumpkin project. This is an opportunity for us to share what we are thankful for in our lives. At the services on Sunday, we will have more packets with simple directions and everything needed to create your pumpkin. You may complete this project with your family or even a friend.
Take a kit home, complete your pumpkin, and return it to the church by November 16th so it may be displayed in the church over the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets
As we begin to think of the Thanksgiving season, our thoughts turn to Turkey dinners, Family, and our many Blessings -- and to those less fortunate. We can share our blessings by providing families with Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners they would otherwise not enjoy. Please consider joining other All Saints parishioners in our THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS BASKET ministry. The cost for each basket again this year is $50.00. You can write a check with a notation in the memo section and put it in the offering plate, or use Easy Tithe and select “Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets”. As in years past, you may make a gift of $100.00 or more and designate how you would like the amount divided. We will be collecting gifts for these Holiday baskets through December 24th. Thank you for sharing your blessings!

Our Deacon Chip Tucker will be serving on a Kairos Prison Ministry Team November 13-16 at Jessup Correctional Institute. Kairos seeks to share the transformative love and forgiveness of Jesus to impact the hearts and lives of those who are incarcerated. There will be a round-the-clock prayer vigil to support the weekend, and your prayers are requested. The team is asking those who are able to pray for a half-hour time block. The link for the signup is Prayer Vigils. If you are not sure how to pray for the weekend, you can find ideas HERE.
Please consider joining those from around the world who are praying for this weekend’s success.
Peace,
Chip
| The Men's Breakfast is always the first Saturday of every month at 9:00 am at Traders Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach. Jim Thrift, our convener, will be in attendance setting up the room before 9:00. The breakfasts are for all Christian men for fellowship and fun. We discuss most everything except religion. Plan to attend and bring a friend as all are welcome, especially newcomers. If you attend you'll have fun, if you don't, we'll talk about you. | |
SAVE THE DATE!
All Saints Fall Campus Clean-up, Fun and Fellowship on December 6th
Come out on December 6th, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., alone or with your family, to help clean up the All Saints Church Campus ahead of our December 13th Christmas Market and our annual Wreaths Across America presentation to honor the veterans in our cemetery.
This is the perfect time to have fun with the family, as we serve, so we can showcase a clean Campus for the community to see at these events.
All you need to bring is your gloves, rakes, tarps, blowers, and above all, yourself to make this another successful clean-up day. Come for a few hours or stick around for a complimentary light lunch thanks to the Episcopal Church Women. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

CHRISTMAS MARKET 2025
Our 20th Anniversary Celebration
| |
December 13th is right around the corner!
Are you as excited as we are? Is your calendar marked for a day of holiday spirit, holiday shopping, and lots of fun? Are you ready to shop ’til you drop? Have you visited the signup.com site to include some volunteer fun at the market? (Sign-up information below). As always, we need lots of VOLUNTEERS to help us make this community event a SUCCESS! The ECW is looking forward to seeing all of our parish family members on December 13th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
For our 20th Anniversary Celebration, we have added more family-oriented activities. Santa will be joining us, and elves will be available to take photos of children with Santa, along with a letter-writing station for kids to create their wish list for Santa, and more!
Of course, we will have our Glühwein and hot cocoa booth again this year. If you haven’t tasted our delicious Glühwein, be sure to try some this year. (Here’s a little hint: don’t wait until later in the day to get a mug of Glühwein because we might just run out!) Let’s all hope and pray for a good weather day, with maybe even a little snow, bringing lots of visitors to the Glühwein and hot cocoa station in front of the parish hall!
And who can forget that the Back Door Café will be open for business this year, selling German-style food to fortify the visitors shopping at the Christmas Market. The menu will include brats, hot dogs, sauerkraut and German potato salad.
If you are new to the All Saints Christmas Market, watch this Facebook Reel to get a feel of what all the excitement is about! https://www.facebook.com/reel/721786992868180

The more tickets we sell early, the greater our chance of selling all the tickets before the winning ticket is drawn! Drawing will be at the Christmas Market on December 13th at 3:30 p.m. You don’t need to present to win. If you would like to presell tickets for the ECW or purchase yours early, please get in touch with Katlin Bagdovitz at 410-474-5508 or Katlinebagz@gmail.com.

Healing Services at All Saints
What is a healing service? The Church of England’s Diocese of Worcester website approaches it this way: “Healing was central to the ministry of Jesus and through the Holy Spirit, God brings healing to people today … We may receive healing through prayer, through the touch of another’s hands or anointing with oil. Healing may come through hearing the Word of God in scripture or in preaching, or in receiving bread and wine in communion, or through being listened to and valued…”
Each Wednesday, All Saints hosts a 10 a.m. Healing Service for about 30 minutes. We listen to scripture, reflect on the example of saints who have gone before, receive anointing with oil, share communion, and pray fiercely for others and ourselves. We invite you to join us! We mostly meet online, with an in-person service in the sanctuary on the last Wednesday of each month. If this speaks to you or you want to share the name of someone in your life in need of healing, please reach out to Senior Warden Hope Sayles or to your deacons Chip and Lisa.
Please join us for our weekly Healing Service. We begin at 10 a.m.
