MESSAGE FROM OUR SENIOR WARDEN

As I prepare for Thanksgiving Day, I am immediately reminded of the many blessings that God has bestowed upon me and upon all of my fellow parishioners at All Saints Parish. We are so very blessed here at All Saints and I want to thank God for all that HE has done for us. As we have said throughout our Stewardship Season, God is faithful in every season. Thanks be to God!!

This year has brought its share of joys and challenges, yet through it all, I have witnessed the unmistakable evidence of God’s grace in our church.

“1 Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us to ‘in everything give thanks.’ Let us give thanks for His quiet mercies, His answered prayers, and His unending grace.”

During the 10:30AM service on Sunday, November 23, 2025, the children will share with parishioners their “Thankful Pumpkins.” Please plan to attend this service to support our children and Sunday School Leaders.

Please remember to submit your checks for the Hurricane Relief in the Caribbean. Our treasurer, Steve Watson, will send one check from All Saints to the Episcopal Relief & Development at the end of November. Thank you for your generosity.

Continue to pray without ceasing as we navigate through this transition process.

                                           HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you, acknowledging that you are the source of all

wisdom. In this time of discernment for our parish, we ask for clarity

to see your will, wisdom to make sound choices, and the help of your

Holy Spirit to guide our steps. Walk with us, good and loving God. Grant

us in all our doubts and uncertainties, the grace to ask what you would

have us do, that the Spirit of Wisdom may save us from false choices, and

that in your light we may see light, and in your straight path we may not

stumble, through Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN

Adriane Hope Sayles

As many in our community are aware, a major fire occurred on Monday morning, destroying apartments and displacing residents in Chesapeake Beach. Many in the community, including churches, non-profit organizations, government agencies, community businesses, and caring community members, have gathered together to meet the immediate needs of those impacted - those who lost everything, including their homes. Patti At Lee, our Outreach Commission Chair, is working with Community Ministry of Calvert County and Calvert County Community Resources to determine how we at All Saints can best help the families impacted. On Sunday morning, she will announce a new Flash Drive for our Parish to collect donations to provide financial assistance, as we can. The flash drive will last two weeks. If you decide to donate, please make a note on your check that the funds are for the Chesapeake Beach Fire Relief. You can also make a donation through EasyTithe. Please note that the donation is for the Chesapeake Beach Fire Relief.

For more information on how others are stepping up to help those impacted, see the Bayside Baptist Facebook page post by Pastor Glenn Swanson.

The Angel Tree IS UP!

The 2025 All Saints Angel Tree is UP in the back of the church! The tags are hung and ready to be chosen. We only have 4 more tags to fulfill this year. Did you know that All Saints hosts one of the largest Social Services Angel Trees in Calvert County?

All tags and gifts are due back at the back of the church by next Sunday, November 30th. (the Sunday right after Thanksgiving). Instructions are on the back of the tags.

Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets

As we begin to think of the Thanksgiving season, our thoughts turn to Turkey dinners, Family, and our many Blessings -- and to those less fortunate. We can share our blessings by providing families with Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners they would otherwise not enjoy. Please consider joining other All Saints parishioners in our THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS BASKET ministry. The cost for each basket again this year is $50.00. You can write a check with a notation in the memo section and put it in the offering plate, or use Easy Tithe and select “Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets”. As in years past, you may make a gift of $100.00 or more and designate how you would like the amount divided. We will be collecting gifts for these Holiday baskets through December 24thThank you for sharing your blessings!

The Men's Breakfast is always the first Saturday of every month at 9:00 am at Traders Restaurant in Chesapeake Beach. Jim Thrift, our convener, will be in attendance setting up the room before 9:00. The breakfasts are for all Christian men for fellowship and fun. We discuss most everything except religion. Plan to attend and bring a friend as all are welcome, especially newcomers. If you attend you'll have fun, if you don't, we'll talk about you.

SAVE THE DATE!

All Saints Fall Campus Clean-up, Fun and Fellowship on December 6th

Come out on December 6th, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., alone or with your family, to help clean up the All Saints Church Campus ahead of our December 13th Christmas Market and our annual Wreaths Across America presentation to honor the veterans in our cemetery.

This is the perfect time to have fun with the family, as we serve, so we can showcase a clean Campus for the community to see at these events.

All you need to bring is your gloves, rakes, tarps, blowers, and above all, yourself to make this another successful clean-up day. Come for a few hours or stick around for a complimentary light lunch thanks to the Episcopal Church Women. Refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

Sign-up here >>> LINK.

If you would like more information, please get in touch with Glenn Iona or David Lippe.

Last January, Wreaths Across America (WAA), the national nonprofit whose year-long mission is to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach our children the value of freedom, proudly announced its 2025 theme: “Keep Moving Forward.”

This year, National Wreaths Across America Day will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025. This is a free event open to all, and the organization encourages community members to participate by volunteering locally or sponsoring a wreath for an American hero. All Saints will have a presentation and ceremony to remember and honor the veterans buried in our cemetery and members of our parish who have served in the military. The community is invited to attend and lay wreaths. The ceremony will begin at 12 NOON with a moment of silence in the labyrinth and throughout the campus.

More information about Wreaths Across America can be found HERE in this YouTube video.

CHRISTMAS MARKET 2025

Our 20th Anniversary Celebration

December 13th is right around the corner!

Are you as excited as we are? Is your calendar marked for a day of holiday spirit, holiday shopping, and lots of fun? Are you ready to shop ’til you drop? Have you visited the signup.com site to include some volunteer fun at the market? (Sign-up information below). As always, we need lots of VOLUNTEERS to help us make this community event a SUCCESS! The ECW is looking forward to seeing all of our parish family members on December 13th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For our 20th Anniversary Celebration, we have added more family-oriented activities. Santa will be joining us, and elves will be available to take photos of children with Santa, along with a letter-writing station for kids to create their wish list for Santa, and more!

Of course, we will have our Glühwein and hot cocoa booth again this year. If you haven’t tasted our delicious Glühwein, be sure to try some this year. (Here’s a little hint: don’t wait until later in the day to get a mug of Glühwein because we might just run out!) Let’s all hope and pray for a good weather day, with maybe even a little snow, bringing lots of visitors to the Glühwein and hot cocoa station in front of the parish hall!

And who can forget that the Back Door Café will be open for business this year, selling German-style food to fortify the visitors shopping at the Christmas Market. The menu will include brats, hot dogs, sauerkraut and German potato salad.

If you are new to the All Saints Christmas Market, watch this Facebook Reel to get a feel of what all the excitement is about! https://www.facebook.com/reel/721786992868180

Signs Are Going Up!

It’s official! Christmas Market signs are going up around the county! Have you seen them? Jill and Christ Dowell are excited to have a sign on their property on Dalrymple Road, providing great publicity on a busy road in Sunderland. Thanks to all who have been involved in digging post holes and securing the signs for all to see!

Christmas Market 50/50 tickets are here! Get them early and when you can! Tickets are $1, six for $5, 12 for $10, 24 for $20. We need volunteers to help us with ticket presales. The more tickets we sell early, the greater our chance of selling all the tickets before the winning ticket is drawn! Drawing will be at the Christmas Market on December 13th at 3:30 p.m. You don’t need to present to win. If you would like to presell tickets for the ECW or purchase yours early, please get in touch with Katlin Bagdovitz at 410-474-5508 or Katlinebagz@gmail.com.

Don’t forget - YOU’VE GOT TO PLAY TO WIN!

Volunteers Are Needed to fill the ECW Bake and Candy Shoppes with delicious holiday goodies at the Christmas Market.

Mark Your Calendar Now, get your baking equipment together, and

Get your BAKING GROOVE going!

As most of you know, the ECW is planning another great Bake Sale at this year’s Christmas Market. This year, we are planning for two tables of baked goodies, including cookies, cakes, pies, bread, and more. And...we are adding a table with homemade candy, candied apples, and s’more kits for kids to use (under supervision) at our fire pit.

For those who enjoy baking and would like an afternoon of fun and fellowship, join us for a cookie-baking afternoon in the All Saints Parish Hall Kitchen on Sunday, December 7th, after the late service. Bring pre-made cookie dough for your favorite cookies to bake in the big oven, or bring fully baked cookies. We will package and price the cookies together. All are welcome to join us!

If you would prefer, you can do all your baking at home (as we have in the past) and bring your goodies to the Parish Hall kitchen on 12/12 or Saturday morning before 9 a.m. Our vendors and volunteers line up at the Bake Tables after setting up to buy goodies for fortification throughout the day.

All Saints Christmas Market 2025 is only 23 days away. It will be here before we know it!

It’s Time to Order Your Christmas Poinsettias

Healing Services at All Saints

What is a healing service? The Church of England’s Diocese of Worcester website approaches it this way: “Healing was central to the ministry of Jesus and through the Holy Spirit, God brings healing to people today … We may receive healing through prayer, through the touch of another’s hands or anointing with oil. Healing may come through hearing the Word of God in scripture or in preaching, or in receiving bread and wine in communion, or through being listened to and valued…”

Each Wednesday, All Saints hosts a 10 a.m. Healing Service for about 30 minutes. We listen to scripture, reflect on the example of saints who have gone before, receive anointing with oil, share communion, and pray fiercely for others and ourselves. We invite you to join us! We mostly meet online, with an in-person service in the sanctuary on the last Wednesday of each month. If this speaks to you or you want to share the name of someone in your life in need of healing, please reach out to Senior Warden Hope Sayles or to your deacons Chip and Lisa.

Please join us for our weekly Healing Service. We begin at 10 a.m.
