As we transition into the season of Ordinary Time, beginning after the Feast of Pentecost and lasting until Advent, it’s important to remember that there’s nothing “ordinary” about this period. Ordinary Time is called “ordinary” simply because the weeks are numbered. This season focuses on Christ’s lived ministry, teaching us how to live out our Christian faith and understand the meaning of Christ’s resurrection in our daily lives. It’s a time for growth and maturation.
In light of this, we are kicking off our summer education series, Echo the Story, during the formation hour between services (9:15am - 10:15am in the upstairs parish hall). We’ll start with “Creation” this Sunday and explore the complete narrative of Scripture, guided by weekly themes for the whole summer.
Reflecting on our visioning conversation last week, led by the Ven. Jennifer McKenzie, we created a large timeline on the parish hall wall, filled with stories we’ve heard, our own stories, and the stories we hope to hear about our parish in the future. This timeline will remain up for the next few weeks, offering everyone the chance to read and contribute to it, enriching our growth during this season.
This Sunday, we will also be celebrating Juneteenth in our liturgy, with special music and prayers. Alongside our worship celebration, I encourage you to attend the Juneteenth Festival hosted by the NAACP of Calvert at Jefferson Patterson Park on Saturday, 6/15, from 11am - 5pm. It promises to be a wonderful event, and I hope to see you there.
Andrew +
PS- NEWCOMERS! Mark your calendars--the next newcomers brunch will be at rectory after church on Sunday, June 23rd. If you are relatively new to the church and have never been to a newcomers brunch, consider yourselves invited! All ages welcome.

Sunday Education / Formation for the SUMMER (for both youth and adults!!)
Every Sunday of the summer, starting with Sunday, June 16th, during our formation hour between services from 9:15am - 10:15am, we are diving into Scripture! Using the curriculum, Echo the Story, which is an overview of the Bible, from creation to the formation of the church, each week we will experience the biblical narrative through storytelling, creative reflection, and dialogue.
All are welcome to join. Our time will begin in the Heritage Room (upstairs parish hall) all together to watch a short video that introduces the theme for the week, and then the youth will break off into the Sunday School room for their own discussion led by Father Andrew, while the adults will stay in the Heritage Room and have a facilitated discussion with many different leaders throughout the summer.
| | | Our June business meeting will be held on Saturday, June 15th at 9AM. You will find us downstairs in the dining hall. There will be lots to talk about as we hand over the reigns to the new president, Jill Dowell! We hope that you can join us! |

All Saints' knitting/crocheting group sponsored Saturday's Regional Yarn Swap. Forty-seven crafters learned about the process of providing us with the wool that we create into so many different creations. Nancy Donley, owner of Ch'Naca Fibers and a regular artisan at our Christmas Market and Calvert Arts Festival, is a local spinner and weaver. She introduced Miranda Jarnot of Fuzzyfrog Fibers who explained processes and techniques for dying fibers. She also explained differences in various fibers and showed us beautiful examples of her work. Sara Noto and her daughter explained the beginning of the process. Their family raises Tunis sheep, an endangered breed, at its farm in Dunkirk.
Twelve Calvert County yarn groups attended, with ladies bringing yarn and supplies they no longer need, enough to cover six tables. Each attendee was free to take home whatever they could use or hope to use. If you know someone or group to whom we can donate the remaining yarn, please contact Cammie Weaver.
Emmanuel Church, Huntingtown, will sponsor next summer's swap.

Thanks to You, C4 Needs Recurring Donors!
Sounds a little counterintuitive, but its true! The people of All Saints have done such a great job of nurturing C4's mission of reconciliation and housing for victims of injustice that we're entering "C4 2.0". Responding to lessons-learned, C4 has expanded client services to include "micro grants," incentive awards, enhanced financial empowerment training opportunities, wrap-around client support services and, of course, dollar-to-dollar savings matching towards home or business ownership. We've also revised our intake processes to allow individuals to apply all through the year; if they're selected, they can be onboarded immediately with easy to use, but state of the art, interactive methods. With these innovations, C4 remains a charity that puts the emphasis on self-help using C4 tools. However, All of this takes funding, and funding we can count on. To maintain the tragectory C4 needs increased reliable funding in the form of recurring monthly donations. So, we ask you to become an "equity warrior" with a recurring monthly donation of $25, $50, $100 or another amount. Please join us as a recurring monthly donor using this link that will take you to a C4 PayPal site accepting debit and credit cards: https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=VB3MXRFXYHHKU .
Regular checks annotated for C4 in the offering plates work too!
