TrioTel Communications, Inc. had a great turnout this year for Hometown Bingo, with over 60 players in attendance. Thank you to the American Legion for letting us use their facilities for this new event created for Hometown Christmas. We had lots of bingo prizes donated from various businesses, including McCook Therapy, Feterl’s Meats, Cheeseman Financial, Wilbur-Ellis, Sabers Associates, On The Move, Blindert Insurance, Midwest Employee’s Benefits, Salem Lumber, First Dakota, The Vernon Company, and Quick Stop. We hope to be able to carry this event into next year’s Hometown Christmas! |

10 Digit Dialing is Here! |

In July 2020, the Federal Communications Commission adopted an order approving the designation of 988 as the 3-digit dialing code for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. To facilitate implementation, area codes across the country where the 988 prefix is a working prefix and which now use 7-digit local dialing must transition to 10-digit local dialing. This includes the 605-area code in our service area. Click here to read requirements and helpful tips.
Starting July 15, 2022, it will be MANDATORY to dial the 605-area code plus the 7-digit phone number to make local calls. You can start practicing 10-digit dialing, now. In addition to changing your dialing routine, you’ll also have to reprogram 7-digit local numbers to 10-digit numbers if you use speed dial or any other system that automatically makes calls for you.

TrioTel Customers are invited to enter our directory cover photo contest for a chance to win $50 and to have their name printed on the 2022-2023 directory cover! Get in touch with your creative side. The only requirements are that it needs to be taken outside and in TrioTel’s service area. Email your digital photos to customerservice@triotel.net. Images must be 300 DPI to ensure high-quality printing. Written permission will be needed for any photos containing people who are easily identifiable. Entries are due by March 1st!
