Happy New Year!

We hope you had a wonderful holiday and we look forward to a prosperous new year!

Welcome Renee Navarre

We are so happy to announce that we have a new CPA joining the team.

Renee is a Certified Public Accountant specializing in tax preparation and tax planning for small to midsize businesses and individuals. Prior to joining Jellison CPA, Renee worked for 15+ years in both private industry and public accounting. She earned her Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from Northwood University. She is a member of the AICPA and MICPA. Renee stays up-to-date on current regulations to provide beneficial planning opportunities for clients. She also provides tax advice on multi-state tax issues, consulting, and compliance. Renee is passionate about adding value to clients' tax and financial goals.

Outside of work, she loves to travel, attend concerts, and spend time with her husband, family, and friends. Renee enjoys reading and being active through pilates, yoga, hiking, or kayaking.

Do you need an appointment this tax season?

Clients often call and ask if they should have a meeting with one of our CPAs before we get started on their tax return. For the majority of our clients a meeting is not necessary, but there are some instances where it might be helpful:

  1. death in the immediate family
  2. started a new business in 2023
  3. closed a business in 2023

If you aren't sure if you need an appointment, our suggestion is to complete the organizer and in the notes section make sure you point out any changes or ask your questions. Once the team has gone through the organizer and your support documents, if it is determined that an appointment is necessary, we will reach out to set up a time to meet.

Tax Organizers

We will be sending out the 2023 tax organizers soon. Please remember that we are using SafeSend to send out electronic organizers. To ensure that you receive your organizer, be sure to “white list” [email protected] or add this email as a contact so our organizer does not end up in spam.

If you do not receive your tax organizer by the end of the month, please email Kim Dziobak at [email protected].

We will send out an additional newsletter next week with tips on how to use the SafeSend organizer.
