Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

Your feedback is important to us, especially as we wrap up this year & pivot towards the 2019-2020 school year. I am asking all families to complete an online survey for each teacher who instructs your student(s). Your responses can help us focus on the right things as we seek to continuously improve our Academy's community.

Please note that the survey answers are anonymous and that your narrative comments are helpful as we analyze the results.

The survey will remain open until May 20th.
Community Investment

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

Community Investment is a vital component of our school's financial well-being. A gift to Community Investment allows us to use funds for the operation of the school, including paying teachers' salaries, purchasing supplies for the school, and all of the expected (and unexpected) expenses associated with operating a school. We are currently behind on our projected goal for Community investment.

Currently, 33% of families are participating, and we are at 71% of our annual goal.

We have until June 30th to finish the year strong with Community Investment. We invite you to support our campaign so that we can purchase beautiful artwork for our hallways. There are currently several blank walls that need decoration. We also need to purchase engaging books and resources for our library shelves, which are currently serving as mere storage. Your gift will make a visible difference on our campus, so please consider donating today!

With Devotion,

Headmaster Weinhold

Revisiting last week- Spirit Week & Teacher Appreciation!

School spirit was in full swing last week as we celebrated our teachers and our wonderful community.

Thank you to the PSO for organizing the teacher appreciation week and to the many North Phoenix families that donated items and time to honor our hardworking teachers.
Congratulations to our students and teachers who rocked the daily themes of spirit week in style! Here are just a few photos commemorating this wonderful week.

Basic guidelines:
Every class will be given a final assessment. Not all assessments will be comprehensive, nor will all follow a traditional format. For instance, a final assessment may look like a formal discussion, a special project or presentation, or may involve a take-home component. As we near mid-May, your child can expect to receive study guides and special instructions from teachers.

Missed Exams:
Per the NPX Family Handbook, "All family vacations should be scheduled during school breaks. Absences due to vacations will be considered unexcused absences." This is particularly important during final exams. Please note that our teachers do not typically offer exams prior to the scheduled exam period, nor are they obligated to reschedule an exam due to family vacation plans. If your child misses an exam due to illness or family emergency, please reach out to the teacher as soon as possible.
