Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

I trust that everyone had a restful and relaxing three-day weekend! We are entering the final season of the school year, one with many events and deadlines converge in a flurry of activity prior to summer vacation. As we enter this busy time of year, let's remember to keep a sense of perspective and to remember why we're here. We engage daily in the pursuit of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty because we believe that these pursuits prepare young people for a life well-lived. What we are ultimately seeking is something deeper and more meaningful than mere success. We are after robust and authentic human happiness for each of our students--and for ourselves. Everything we do aims at that all-important purpose.

I also want to take a moment to express my gratitude to Ms. Coughlon for the energy, enthusiasm, and dynamism that she has brought to her role as assistant headmaster at our Academy. You will see in her letter below that she is moving to San Antonio, Texas to serve as the founding headmaster of a future Great Hearts Academy. Her work and influence at North Phoenix Prep will never be forgotten, and I am so grateful for her partnership over the past several years. She will finish out the school year with us, so we will have an opportunity to thank her and wish her well on her new adventure.

With Devotion,

Headmaster Weinhold
Assistant Headmaster Adieu

Dear Students and Families of North Phoenix Prep,
With a heart full of love and affection for my NPX community, I share the news that I am moving to San Antonio,Texas, this summer to serve as the founding headmaster of a future Great Hearts academy.
North Phoenix Prep has been the locus of some of my most satisfying and enriching experiences as an educator. You have taught me much about what it means to work within a vibrant and growing community, and I will humbly carry those lessons with me as I strive to build a new community of learners who are committed to an education grounded in the joyful pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness.
Over the next few weeks, I look forward to celebrating the successes of your children as they too work to finish the year well. And like our graduating seniors, I will be savoring these last few moments with this family that I hold so dear. I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events and I cherish the opportunity to thank you and bid you farewell.

Ms. Cindy Coughlon
