Headmaster Letter

Dear North Phoenix Prep Families,

Welcome back from Spring Break! When your students return for this final quarter of the year, they will notice several upgrades to the Prep entry. Our fearless facilities technician, Mr. Lugo, has hung the Gladiator standards along the upstairs balcony and across the wall. Now every young Gladiator will see his or her Familia represented prominently at the threshold of our fair Academy. We have also moved the Lost and Found to the Multi-Purpose Room so that the Prep entrance is a cleaner, more distinct space. In addition, several faculty members have volunteered to serve as greeters so that each student enters the school with a welcome, a handshake, and a smile.

All of this is designed to emphasize the fact that North Phoenix Prep is a distinct environment with an intentional culture of unquenchable goodwill. It's also designed to send a message to our whole community: finish the school year strong! The fourth quarter is when the game is won. So let's get in here and win it together!

With Devotion,

Headmaster Weinhold

Considering Teaching as a Career?

Dear Great Hearts Families,

As I’m sure you’ll agree, finding the right teachers to join our academic communities – faculty who are virtuous and have rich intellectual lives, who are subject-matter experts, committed to life-long-learning and the true, good, and beautiful – is quite simply the most essential element of our academies’ success.

Our recruiting efforts are tremendously strengthened by the “word-of-mouth” promotion of Great Hearts teaching opportunities to the broader local community through our own academy families . You were so gracious to share information about our Career Fair last month, and several of you asked if we could give you general materials regarding our recruitment/hiring to share with colleagues, friends, family members, and/or neighbors whom you’d love to encourage to work for Great Hearts. We would very much appreciate your help in this regard, and have included two attachments here which could be used to communicate to that end ( a word doc with informational text which may be copied/pasted/forwarded, as well as a colorful flyer ). Please feel free to use these materials in any way you’d like – via email, social media, etc.

Also, please always feel free to reach out to us directly at careers@greatheartsamerica.org

Thank you much,

Kiann Mapes, and the Faculty Talent Team
