Don't miss out!
As we approach the last fiscal quarter of the year with the weather changing and multiple holidays upon us, City staff gears up for a variety of events and meetings.

The Board of Aldermen will hold at least three special meetings in the upcoming months to discuss and prepare for the FY2020 budget. These meetings are open to the public and is time set aside for the Mayor and Board to review with staff the priorities for the upcoming year. The FY2020 Operating Budget will be set up for adoption in December to begin the fiscal year January 1, 2020.

The next few months are packed with activities that the community will certainly enjoy! The Osage Beach City Park Fishing Derby is the first Saturday in October, October 5 beginning at 9 AM. The following Saturday, also at the Osage Beach City Park, is the City’s 19 th Annual Fall Festival. The festival begins at 10 AM and will include many favorites returning like the outstanding entertainment, free kids activities, and many great eats!

The Public Works Department’s fall leaf pickup program will begin around the Thanksgiving holiday, weather dependent. Also, following the Thanksgiving holiday, the City’s Holiday Light Park will open and run through the end of the year.

City staff is dedicated to being good stewards to our community and will continue to operate efficiently to deliver superior municipal services to our citizens and visitors.  And, we want to hear from our community. Join us at Peanick Park on Thursday, October 24th at 11:30 a.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony!

This is an opportunity for the public to come out and see the improvements that have occurred over the course of the last 3 years, thanks to funds received from the National Park Service, through two Land and Water Conservation Fund grants.

Kiwanis Club of Ozark Coast and Elks Lodge 2517, partners who helped contribute to the project, will be in attendance along with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, State Park Division, who administered the federal grant.

The City of Osage Beach Parks and Recreation Staff will be on hand to discuss how this was all possible and what's next for the park!
