It Takes Team Work!
Nearly two hundred of our members will be meeting in teams this week to discuss Full Proposals and determine which applicants will receive Site Visits . Individually, members have already devoted countless hours to carefully reading proposals and taking notes.

And now, it’s time to be collaborative and collectively evaluate. At the first Team Meetings, the question we are asking ourselves is: Do we want to learn more?

Member Spotlight: Ginger Sabia
Ginger Sabia has game and grit. Her first career goal, to play professional tennis, came from whacking thousands of tennis balls cross-court and down the line in her native Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In the nascent years of women’s professional sports, Ginger traveled the country as a top-ranked player and fierce competitor. However, a series of devastating injuries forced her to consider other possibilities. In a stroke of good fortune for our community, Ginger met and married a native Philadelphian, and immediately embraced the challenge of creating a new career, home, and family.

Mixing It Up
The Impact100 Philadelphia Mixer on Monday, February 25, was a success! Planned by the Young Philanthropist (YP) committee and open to all members and guests, the event was an opportunity for women to get to know one another better and connect over shared interests, great food, and stimulating conversation. The mixer took place at City Tap House in Logan Square and was attended by general members, young philanthropists, and potential future members. Attendees discussed their responses to a series of prompts related to hobbies, work, philanthropy, and 2019 plans over drinks and flatbreads and then continued conversing with both old and new friends.

The YP committee looks forward to planning more events to engage YP members, collaborating with other committees to connect all members, and showing women interested in becoming members the benefits of being a part of Impact100 Philadelphia!
