Sarah and a message about massage...

......Meet Sarah. We have had the pleasure of working with Sarah as she has offered self-care tips and massages to our APTS Family. Massage is a holistic therapy that has shown positive effects on physical and mental health. Having a massage not only relaxes the body and mind, but when used as a preventative and continuous therapy, has also shown physiological and psychological changes. The effects of massage on the body’s systems can be profound, directly impacting our immune system, digestion, respiration, circulation, nervous system, muscle health and more.

It has been said that, “Massage is to the human body what a tune-up is for a car.”
If you are ready to learn more about this self-care technique,
please reach out to Sarah at her office located right here in Kennebunk!

We all have or will lose someone we love. As we age, loss becomes a more common experience and the grief that comes with it becomes a part of us. Self-care at this time includes having the support of others experiencing grief. Carol MacLeod, a retired advanced practiced nurse in psychiatry, has background in this area and leads the group.  The Grief Support Space is sponsored by the Bibber Family and Bibber Memorial Chapel. The Center is grateful for their support and Carol's leadership of this program that helps many.
