ANNUAL APPEAL 2019

“ Kindness can transform someone’s dark moments with a blaze of light. You’ll never know how much your caring matters.” –Amy leigh Mercre

For many of our clients,  A Place to Start  is their only source of socialization and support. With that being said, it is only through the generosity and kindness from people just like you that we are able to continue our mission of providing hope, help and guidance to families living with dementia.

We strive to offer caregivers and their loved ones a place to gather, a place to feel supported and give them a sense of belonging during a time that can be so challenging and even lonely at times. Family caregivers experience clinical symptoms of depression and feelings of isolation and loneliness. Support is what leads to less stress, less depression, and better health. We are able to provide this and many other services at  no cost  to the family or caregiver.
