Europe EV Regs to Allow ICE Using Synthetic Fuels
|
|
The EU has adopted a regulation similar to the California regulation banning the sale of ICE by 2035, but in an interesting development, ICE using synthetic fuels, called “e-fuel” will be allowed, because the carbon in the synthetic fuel is extracted from the atmosphere, so its combustion in the engine does not add any carbon to the atmosphere, and the criteria and toxic emissions from ICE are now controlled to an extraordinarily low level.
